"What do you know that we don't? Wait, what? LOCKED!" Lily asked.
Then she turned back to Charlie. "Maybe once we're in another part of the Mansion it'll get better," she said. "Just make sure the battery doesn't die, okay?" A cell phone might be our only hope, Lily thought. I wish I'd brought mine.

"I just know okay? Now trust me, we can't get out of the mansion. Theres no way."

"Okay." Charlie said as she turned her phone off. She normally kept her phone on, just incase, like the texts, but she decided it be better with no one disturbing her or any one else.

"I brought my charger too, but its in my bag upstairs in my room."

"Then we need to stay safe," she said. "Does that mean Mark made up all of that stuff about his dad's "twisted games"?"

"Mark is telling the truth. His dad does have some 'twisted game' planned, I just can't seem to read what it is."

"Read?" said Lilly.

"I can read minds."

Lily gaped at the girl, unsure whether to believe her. For now, she would play it safe and ask, "So you're saying Mark is in on it with his dad?" If she really can read minds, she thought.

"Mark has never thought about that. I mean, I haven't read what he has to say, because he never talks about it. Do you get what I'm saying? Like while we were here, he never thought "Oh I'm on my dad's side." But from what I've read so far, Im sure that he is."

"I'm glad you're relieved. Trust me, reading minds isn't all that exciting. If you don't know how to control it, you can read many minds at once and it sounds like a loud stereo booming in your head. "

"So, what should we do? If he's on his father's side, should we stop following him and lock ourselves in a room?"
Eden liked this idea

"If we show him that we are scared, then he might do worse things to us. Let's just follow him and see where he wants to take us." Victoria responded

Lily agreed with Victoria, even though she wanted to lock herself in safety. Aloud, she said, "Even though we'd be safe locked up, that doesn't make our situation any better...we're still locked in, and he could always break in or something."
