"I've told you all I know," he spat at the girls. "I've told you that I can help you, and that I can show you the way out, but you choose to follow in the same footsteps of the last group of idiots who came here. You know what happened to them? I was trying to relocate them on the second floor and found pieces of their bodies dangling on chains from the conservatory chandelier. Chains that had never been there before. It's called lunar conjuration. Things in this house can come alive whenever they want, objects can appear through the will of my father's power. If you don't follow me, you'll end up like them. You'll never see your family again, you'll never see your name on the honor roll"--this was directed at Eden--"and none of you will ever know what it's like to wake up and feel the air of a brand new day again. Do you want this to happen to you? Do you want to die?" He glared into Victoria's eyes, inches from her face.
