"I'm sorry for being such a wreck." he looked up and noticed something in the shadows, "odd." he mumbled and then looked back at Sarah, "I'm not usually a basket case like this."

Sarah shook her head. "If you weren't a 'basket case' I'd think there was something wrong with you. Your roommate is in the hospital. I've never had that happen to me but I can only imagine how helpless and scared you feel. It can't be easy."

"yah," ceagin set the coffe down and rested his head in his hands again. why had this happend? he wondered. "thanks Sarah," he mumbled his face half covered with his hands.

"Good idea. I should probably do the same. Night Ceagin." She started to walk away, then stopped. "If you need to talk though, you know where to find me." Then she left.

When Sarah got to her room, she just sat on her bed. She wasn't tired, and she was pretty confident anybody would be sleeping tonight. She replayed certain events of the day in her head, twidling with her necklace absent-mindedly. College certainly is a whole new world.

Ceagin sat there watching her leave. Kiera was sittingthere as well. " I hate the way this feels" he said after a long pause

"Yeah. I know what you mean. But, it'll fade. It's just the outside that feels that way. Deep down you know he'll be fine." she whispered, twirling a blade of grass between her fingers.

Ceagin jumped with a start when his phone rang.
"yah, he...ok yah!" Ceagin hung up his phone. He looked up at Kiera. "He's awake. I need to go to hime. he jumped up and almost tripped over himself. "Could you drive me? I don't think I could drive."

Kiera smiled. "Yeah, sure. I'll see him too." she said, jumping up also. "I have no idea where you parked or anything, so just lead the way..." she said, motioning forward.

Nick looked away for a moment. he didn't know how to respond. he felt numb, cold, and in a way lifeless. He was so tired and running purely on caffeine, yet he couldn't sleep. he felt like he couldn't cry but he wanted to." I don't know," he replied at length, "It probably sounds really off the wall but I don't know how I feel Adina.”

She knew how he felt, she walked over and sat down beside him. "I understand how you feel Nick." Adina said, "you should try to sleep a little."
