Dancing Lawn 2011

For 5 years me and a lot of others are members but what about those who were here before us?? Everytime I come here I realize how much I love this place. I just don't WANT to leave here! TDL and of course Specter.....we all love this place! So let's make this a tribute to TDL and to all it's great members!!! You guys make this site like a safe harbor and awesome mods like PoTW, Inky and the magic Badger are like gold!!

I LOVE TDL!!!

*Music plays*

The Wardrobe...

TDL is amazing, thanks for all the work put into this and (must I say) C.S. Lewis for ever opening the portal for us all to enter Narnia...

Actually, the badger is gold - that is, he had a little mishap at Deathwater Pond about which he's found it difficult to speak...

But on to cheerier topics - I, too, love NarniaFans, and find many good friends and friendly discussion here!

I love this place! I love everyone here!! I love new members too!!! I know, I'm too harsh sometimes when critiquing a piece of....writing! But hey, I can't help speak my crazy mind sometimes. Oh, and I don't often go to the Socratic club cause I end up a mess. But thanks to the Magic Badger and the rest of the poor, human, non-magic mods here, they somehow always make things right!!

Oh, and I do love Paul, our fun admin immensely. If you have never met the man in person, you should. He's one of the truest men alive. Hi, Paul!!

One warning though, if the badger is hungry, he will still steal your food even when you're watching and he'll still deny it!!!

Thanks for all you've done for everybody. I've made many new friends:)

Vanessa, I'm glad you started this thread, and I'm glad you ARE still with us--EVEN THOUGH you never married me! This community has become very important to me. Besides all the friendships, it has proven to be the only way I could become, in effect, a published novelist.

I have just joined, but the love and friendships I've experienced here cannot be described :) I hope to experience a lot more on here, and I'm sure I will.

God bless you, TDL!

Welcome Chucklenuts!

Thank you, Vanessa for making this thread -- I will echo CF and say I am so glad you are still here! You're one of the folks who makes TDL friendly and fun ... and international. :)

I'll echo BK as well and say I love all our members, and think it's great to be seeing new avis and members here now since VDT. Y'all are wonderful.

And of course my fellow mods are the best.

In 2011 let's have fun and play nice and get together for a good jaw about Narnia often. :)

(I have been absent during the Christmas season because I've been so busy, but I am always thinking of my Narnia pals and hope to be here more in the new year.)

I joined TDL when I was 12, and I am now 16. Four years isn't as long as some of the other members have been here, but I still feel like I have grown up with this place. Things have changed - many of the old members have left us and new ones have come to take their place - but this is still an amazing community. Never in my online career have I encountered such a friendly, tight-knit group of people. The best part is that we are all united in a common interest: Narnia. We have gone through many ups and downs, but I am confident that we will continue to flourish. And as Vanessa mentioned, we owe it all to an amazing core group of mods and admins. Thank you for running this forum!! 2011 will be another great year :)

I love TDL too. I've been here for almost two years now but it feels like longer. Everybody on here is great and so friendly- it just seems like one big family on here. I am so very glad I found and joined this site. I've made many friends on here that I would have never had the privilage to meet otherwise and they truely make it feel real. I have trouble talking to people in "real life" but I come on here to speak my mind, have fun and be happy or sad with everyone else. Nobody on here judges me when I'm mad or stressed out, everyone actually seems like they don't mind my millions of cat prayer-requests when everyone else seems to think its a chore to pray for them...
You guys and girls on here are great. I still haven't been here very long compared to some people but I have a feeling TDL will stay a part of my life for many years to come, just like Narnia. Thanks so much for all your help and support and friendliness(and not minding when I can't figure out how to spell words :p) and for always being there when I just need something to be there.

For The Dancing Lawn, and for Aslan! :)

Hey TDL!

I've been a member here since 2005... So in October it'll be 6 years! Unfortunately I haven't been on as much this last year or so, but I love this place! Some of the best years of my life were spent here in the green boxes of this forum! The mods here are some of nicest people I've ever met and certainly the best forum leaders I've seen anywhere on the internet! You guys rock!

Also I have to give a shout out to my Pirate crew and all my friends on here! Arrr!!!

Thank you TDL for all the great times and memories! I hope to come on more this year if I can... :D

I have been here since 2006 and y'all helped me through my college work and provided an outlet for me to let out pent up frustration or goof around. I look forward to many more years in the future.

though I joined right after I turned 17 in 2006, I also feel like I have "grown up with tdl." :D

Like Vanessa said, there is just something special about TDL. I love it :D. The mods and Paul have done a great job making this place amazing.

I also know that TDL has been here for the people that needed it. There is something special about knowing that even when friends "in real life" leave you that you still have TDL. :)

Still, keep an eye on the Badger...and your food. Right Vanessa? Get a video evidence if you can!!!:D

Actually, the badger is gold - that is, he had a little mishap at Deathwater Pond about which he's found it difficult to speak...

Well, you'd find it difficult to speak if you'd had a mishap at Deathwater Pond...

This is definitely a great place to spend time, and it's been fun helping moderate it for the last few years. (even if someone ate all the good cookies in the mod lobby! (all that's left are those green ones which I think TG put there, and I don't want to risk trying them!!))

I suppose I've not grown up with TDL as much as some others have, but I joined back in May 2008, when I both became a Narnia fan and saw PC for the first time :)P), and feel like despite the fact that the real world changes, and the fact that I hardly EVER post in comparison with others (*laughs*) that I'll always have TDL to come to when I'm down... Or bored... Or dufferish. I lurk a lot so no one knows me lol but I just wanted to say thanks to all TDL-ers for being awesome, and for Paul for creating this amazing forum =). Hope that 2011 will be another amazing year!!

I joined this June, so I haven't been a member for long, but I feel like part of TDL. I haunted the boards two years before I joined, so I already felt like friends to all these people who had never heard of me. :D

TDL is an amazing place, and I can't wait to reach my one year membership anniversary. xD

TDL has been one of the possitive things in helping to build faith while I was in some pretty tough situations that were not condusive for for spiritual growth. Being a Science major at a public college is not always the most uplifting way to occupy one's time. Everyday, one of your professors just expects you to take on face-value things that do not always jive with one's faith. TDL has been there for me on days when I needed someone to talk to who has not been completely purged of faith.

TDL is an amazing, I love it and can't believe I'm still here. Most of the friends I made on here have moved on and don't come here anymore and it's just weird talking to them on Facebook now because we've changed so much. I still come on here, even though I don't know why. I don't post as much as I once used to either. I just kinda float around from thread to thread, reading what others have wrote. I joined TDL way back in 2006 and I was going through a tough time then. I joined TDL and I'm sure it was my TDL friends that helped me to not become completely insane. So even though the friends who helped me out are gone, TDL is still here and I think that's why I keep coming back.
