Daniel Radcliffe fans...

I've seen recent pics of him. He's REALLY grown up. I'm not a fan of him anymore. He's become the actor who really wants to do those scenes with alot of kissing and stuff. He kept on saying that he was very excited to kiss katie. And he said he wanted to start doing "sex scenes" in an interview. He's changed. Just not my type fo guy. I go for personality and I don't really like his...nothing special.mehh.

I really hate him. I've never actually liked him. I love Harry Potter and I suppose he does his part well, but I don't like HIM.

And yeah, he did seem a bit too eager to kiss Katie. I liked him more years ago, when he was in TPS.

I'm going to pretend he does not exist, only Harry does. I thought he was fine for a while, then I've really been disappointed recently with his actions. It seems all young actors have to do some REALLY raunchy thing to get "respect" as actors. Guess what? He's officially lost mine! And I think it's disgusting how the media and people are all patting him on the back for it.

I think he's a good Harry, but ok, let's be honest, a lot of big actors get full of themselves and kind of do really dumb things that make you not respect them... He's not an exception.

He's horrible. He said "Once when he was 11 a woman came up to him with nothing on, and he was shocked. Now he wished someone would do it again."

Never was a fan, NEVER will be!

Ron is my favorite HP character. I agree with Twilight, Daniel Radcliff is okay as Harry but that's it. To show you are grown up in such way is not the way. One day he will regret this and doesn't want to talk about it anymore. Fine for him. I was never a fan and will never be a fan. If Harry Potter wasn't written and made on screen, he might never have been famous. I always wonder why people do their best to get rid off the image of a character which made them so famous.

Exactly! And I wonder (selfishly..) why if he HAS to do this idiotic thing, he couldn't at least wait till after the movies to ditch his nice guy image!! Then I wouldn't be annoyed about watching him, and that he's in the movies. I think it's desperation because he's not THAT amazing of an actor and he thinks this'll prove he can "stretch" supposedly. But he's not going to get nice parts that regular people will actually watch if he sticks with the gross stuff.

Beause Mrs Gil-Galad Took, sometimes an actor becomes so linked to the singular role that was his career that after the role was over, so was his acting career. Everyone could only see him in the one role and did not think he could be anyone else.

Yes, this role was extreme, but it was something that he wanted to do to be able to show everyone else that he could do something other than Harry Potter. And Twilightdryadhobbit, I think it was important for him to do this now, in the middle of his Potter years so that when they look at his career, they do not only have to see him in the glasses and scar. If I recall, he also made a smaller movie, but I don't think it did well (or it just did good in England).

Ok, if you are a fan, and you don't want to know why Mrs. Took and I are upset, I would advise not to read further.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. I hope I didn't make him sound like he's the devil or something, he's a young person, and if he was in my youth group or one of my friends I'd be even more concerned about him. I understand some of the reasoning that you're talking about Mr. Bob, however, I think that a larger, dramatic role that was not totally shocking and innappropriate for families to watch would allow him to branch out and not be seen as the guy with glasses and a scar, and yet not alienating his many fan or former fans who don't believe that taking off your clothes establishes you as a serious actor. (As evidenced by the many posts on this forum, and elsewhere) I think this mindset that you have to take off your clothes to become serious as an actor is only damaging to the young actors and thier fans. I'm also not sure that him doing this in his Potter years will help that much. Wont he just be seen as the kid with no clothes trying to break away from the glasses and scar? I realize that many actors perhaps believe that this is how the business works, that you have to do something totally shocking and innappropriate to get critic's respect, but I would argue that he's already well known, if he's choosy with what movies he wants to star in next (Don't think he doesn't have offers, many of them in fact) his real acting talents will shine through, and if he picks different characters he'll be branching far out from Harry Potter. I just find fault with the idea that to be a different character, and be a good actor you have to dump your morals. Perhaps he thinks this is a quick way to be seen as different. It's also a quick way to set families on edge and perhaps lose many fans.

But I'm not an actor, and I'm not Dan Radcliffe. I'm not going to say that what he does is right. But it's his choice. He's not asking me about it, I'll just be praying that he makes better choices in selling his talents for the rest of his life.

I agree with you twilight.
Mr Bob, you got a very good point there. For some actors/actresses there is nothing as irritating or annoying than get remembered as the fill-in-name.
especially a young uy like daniel wants to get more out of his acting carreer and after such a giant uceess with HP he prolly will always carry the shadow of harry with him. of course people try to do everything they can to be remembered as an actor and not a character.

But my point is; why with doing things like this? To act without clothes is not showing you are grown up. I just don't understand why people always have to prove themselves to be serious and doing movies with a lot of sex or acting in a play without clothes. That is not acting at all. I don't doubt he can do better than that. He is so young and he still has to wait when time is ready for him. But now he already has done things he prolly will regret later.
A good actor is someone who can play many roles. Johnny Depp will prolly also be named as jack Sparrow more often now he has played in 3 movies (the 3th will be in the theaters soon) I think it depends on a person himself to see what kinda actor he will become. But daniel is definitely on the wrong way. People who hate what he is doing now prolly will hate HP too and it is sad for the character, because the character is cool.

I've lost all respect for him.He used to be all nice but now hes doing bed scenes. He only 17 isn't that illegal or something? I wouldn't even take my kid to see OOTP knowing the main actor is becoming a sex icon.

Back then they did the Olympics nude. It's different now.Everything is about sex these days. I personally don't think he is really HP. I just think it's an inappropriate for him to do this at the age he is and during the Potter movies.

I do know what the play is about for the record. Just because hes a teen doesn't mean he has to go out and have sex. 17 is very young to be doing something like that in my eyes.

Nobody says they see him as Harry Potter. So that depens on how you look at him. Harry Potter is a character. I would not like it when my son (if I had one) would try to show the world he is grown up by doing sex scenes or plays in movies completely naked. With being nude you don't show the world you are grown up. You show it when you are mature and can stand up for yourself.

He's seventeen years old.

Besides, if Emma Watson can regularly go down to the pub and drink beer with the guys, I don't think Daniel Radcliffe doing a single play in the nude is a bad thing. I'd wonder if you guys even knew what the play was about?

As for his comments regarding sex.. well, guess what? He's a teenager. Surprise.

Hey! That is not good thing either what Emma Watson is doing. But this topic is not about Emma watson. And it was not a single play, he was in that play more times on stage remember?
And what a silly remark to say the sex is because he is a teenager. He gives the wrong signal. How many people are now collecting pics of him just because he is nude? I can tell ya, there are a lot.

What are you talking about?Hes having sex with another female actor nude! And in a play you preform multiple times that 2 minutes adds up.

I am not a fan and I never was. Oh boy.....I would have a huge problem if I was, considering my age (34) I like the HP movies but that's it. I am sure the media is exaggerating as ever, but I just don't like the idea why people so young always have to show they are grown up in this way. I agree with Shizuka. It looks like the whole society is turning around sex the last couple of years.
