Darn You to Ever Burning HECK!!!

Some of my favourite finishing touches....

One of your flourescent lights will always blink and hum.

Telephone cords (no cordless phones) will use any excuse to get knotted up. So will keyboard cables and headhone cables.

The loose spring-loaded office chair is tuned to squeek slightly off key in a minor second chord. It pops suddenly when you concentrate on something.

Several keys stick on the keyboard. Usually the spacebar, enter, and letter "A".

Your phone is rotary dial and all our office phones have a touchtone menu. The menu starts with, "IF YOU SPEAK SERBO-CROATIAN, MARQUE EL NUMERO QUATRO".

Everything in the office has a nasty little static shock when you touch it.
 
And all the door hinges are rusty.


And despite the fact the doors clearly say pull, you keep pushing.

And when you are told to take a number, your number is never called.

And you are really, really, REALLY hungry and on the radio they are playing a continuous loop of fast food jingles, while some yutz across from you is reading wikipedia articles on everything from pizza to different types of sandwhiches, to different burgers.


And then there's the smell.... if there is one. It stinks in there.
