A texture picture?? And OK. Thanks.Hmmm, well, using larger brush sizes for blending makes the blends softer. Using smaller brushes means you can cut around things more easily.
For textures you find a picture go to Layers: Properties: Blend mode. For white background use "Multiply" for black background use "screen" for anything else just play until it looks cool.
