Did they rebuild Cair?

You know how in PC when the 4 get back to narnia? Well, Cair was in ruins, and after Prince Caspian became king at the end, it said he lived in Miraz's castle. Well, then in SC, Cair is back, and same goes in LB. Do you think they rebuilt Cair? or did Lewis like..not remember that it got destroyed in PC. :p

just a though

Very interesting thought! You're probably right!

I was thinking about that the other day. It is possible that Caspian ordered the land to be rid of the trees and rebuild Cair. Since Caspian was a Telmarine who wasn't afraid of the forest, I think he'd destroy it, re-establish Cair, and educate people that the woods really weren't haunted.

They would have rebild it. Remember, they also left for Cair Paravell in TVOTDT, so they must have rebid it quikly...... or maybe Aslan gave then a hand....

Sure, they rebuilt it - though it may have taken several decades to get it to the form you find it at the beginning of Silver Chair. Cair Paravel was where Aslan's kings and queens ruled - those inland castles were built and manned by interlopers.

I think that somewhere between PC and VOTD Caspian decided to have it rebuilt.(That dosen`t mean that`s when they were done rebuilding it.) As POTW has said it probably would`ve taken several decades to rebuild it.

I think Aslan must have given a hand in rebuilding it, Because the Voyage of the Dawn Treader most certainly says that Caspian was living at Cair, and it also say that when he got back, he put Coriakin's map in his Nagation Room at Cair. Aslan Visits Trumpkin at Cair in VotDT, too. Lewis just leaves it to our imagination on how it got done so fast.

God points. Yes, Aslan must have rebult it for them.

I'm sure he could do it in a flash too. :p it would take long I bet to rebuild it. I wonder how long it took to build it the first time. Or if King Frank ordered it to be built (or one of his descents)

MMMmmmmm, wee are never told if he did or not.

I think it likely that the original Cair Paravel was built by a combination of Giants and Dwarfs--the former for heavy lifting, the latter for skilled detail work. Aslan may have dictated the architectural design, but I doubt He would have just spoken the castle into existence, though of course He _could_ have. If He did everything for His creatures, not letting them do anything for themselves, why bother creating them in the first place?

The rebuilding of Cair Paravel probably had many human participants, though any number of Narnian races may also have taken part.

ooh..I never thought that Giants could have helped. that'd be whole lot easier than if it was all done by..like..humans, if that's a good word :p

You could say "humanoids" or "demi-humans" when referring to those beings created on the first day of Narnia, like the "river-god," who were similar enough to homo sapiens that Frank and Helen's children were able to intermarry with them and have children who could in turn have their own children. As proven by the character of Cornelius, Dwarfs in Narnia are also able to intermarry with humans.
