Do you like the New pevensies? Or you like more the Old Ones?

In some ways, i like the old ones for C. S. Lewis' pevensie kids are that: little kids:). But I LOVE the new ones cuz they make the film more serious and credible, they are amazing:D. And do you like the old aslan's voice? or Liam Neeson's??
I love Liam:rolleyes:, Lol. But both are good.

What do you think??

I prefered Susan and Edmund from the old one, but Peter and Lucy from the new one. Particularly Susan - really didn't like Anna Popplewell

Definitely like the new cast better. Liam Neeson is one of my favorite actors, he was great as Aslan. :D

I personally hated the new ones.
They couldn't act
and they were all ugly except for Lucy.

[[don't kill me, this is just my opinion LOL]]

"I'd like to know how you can make such a strong comment. I'll admit it for Lucy, but the others are difficult to call surely!?"

Lucy was definitely lacking in the original. Peter and Edmund looked too close in age for me, especially in LWW. Susan was actually the stand-out. I liked that casting even though I like Susan least of the four Pevensies.

I found the new cast to be so much better.

Daisy, your first opinion was fine suggesting that you didn't like their acting abilities, however calling them ugly is uncalled for.

I thought Peter to be too old in the new ones. He's my age in fact and that wasn't really appropriate. Edmund was ok, but I disliked his voice and manner... he seemed a bit slow and beefy. Susan was terrible, too grumpy and not pretty enough. Lucy was quite good though.

In BBC, Peter was a good age, but a little too small and so didn't seem to have as much authority. Susan was perfect. Edmund was ok, but not a very good actor though he fitted the part well. Lucy was awful, but a very good actress!

I SUPPORT YOU ON THAT, DUDE!!
Susan was NOT ugly on the new version! But well, I like their abilities... and it's good peter's old cuz on TLB, he'll fit for the part.
hehee... and GEORGIE WAS AWESOME.

My only qualm about the BBC actors was the fact that I thought Peter and Susan looked a trifle too young for the part myself. Other than that, I really liked them both. I really enjoyed the BBC version, and I own the films. They were excellent for their day and for the very low budget they were given in which to film it. They actually stayed right on with the books better than the new films, but of course the new films special effects and computer generated animation just made the Disney/Walden film so well done. You actually believed that the beavers and the fox, the centaurs, the fauns, etc. were totally real. It was great!!!

Yup. I'm agree... I've seen the new LWW first before the old one and that's bad, cuz one can't stop comparing. But it was great! I found the old one, of curse, very sticked to the books. And it was fun to see Mr. Tumnus because thinking about Jim McAvoy, that one scared... hahaha, kidding.

Well,as i already said, Peter's good for me, heehee. And I just read this Ben Barnes' interview saying that if it wasn't for Will's physical aspect, he wouldn't fit for the role... or he meant that, lol.
And Ben's a great actor too.

I actually prefered the original Mr Tumnus - not a fan of McAvoy's portrayal, and he think he was too young... a middle aged fawn?

The only truly good thing about the new film is the special effects and effects of the budget (getting better sets, actors etc), which are of course bound to better so BBC has no chance in that area. But any area that is fair to compare BBC wins hands down and even holds its own in some area like acting portrayal

Yup, I like the BBC one cuz they made they effort with no special effects and it was completely magical!! I fell in love with it.
And anyway, I like James, so... heehee.

I agree WHB, on a production end the BBC doesn't stand a chance...but on most other ends it surpasses Disney/Walden's version easily. The Pevensies in the BBC weren't the right ages either, but they did a decent job acting. It was a bigger challenge in Walden's version to get the kids to act at so young an age....Georgie rose to the occasion. Will was a bit old for it in some ways...which has now thrown PC off practically into a ditch with the changes they made to Caspian based on age. The BBC still had the magic, the meaning, the themes...it hit the mark in most areas apart from production. Barbara's acting was way over the top...but still...decent enough to handle. I don't know which Pevensies I like better. I suspect I won't be able to judge that till PC and even in some ways VDT come out. Right now the BBC is holding it's own quite well opposite the Disney Walden version.
