Doctor Who

I'm indifferent about the announcement: neither excited nor disappointed. I have absolutely nothing against the casting, and am eager to see a new face with the Doctor, but I liked Amy and Rory's run with the Doctor so much that I can't help feeling a bit nervous that this one won't be as good. Does that make sense?

I'm really sad to see the Ponds go, even though I absolutely think it's time. Even then, it's not so much their departure from the TARDIS that upsets me, but that they might die or something. xD It's going to be really tragic, and I know that I'll bawl my eyes out...

Ok, I don't like her already. I don't like these parts in the announcement:

"Jenna is going to LEAD HIM" I say WHAT? No one leads the Doctor. I don't know what these people are thinking about.

"Can talk even faster than he does" meaning: ANNOYING!! annoying as heck!

We all don't like her now. Just like we all didn't like Matt Smith when we saw his promo pictures or even after The Eleventh Hour. Or how no one liked anyone as companion after Rose.
I'm going to give her a try. I think she's adorable looking.

I did not dislike Matt before I saw an episode. It was different then. No one said that Matt was going to outdo or outclass Tennant. It was just a continuation with a different doctor. Also I did not dislike the companions after Rose. I actually was mad they had gotten rid of her the way the did. It was painful so I did not watch DW for a while after that.

Reading what I've read about this new companion makes me not like the character. It sort reduces the doctor to a "second fiddle," so to speak. I can't stand for that.
 
I didn't mean to say that you were doing all those things. I'm sorry if it seemed like I was attacking you personally. I've just seen a lot of people already hating on her outright and I know they were the people who hated on Martha and Matt and all that before they got a proper look at them.
It gets to me.

Anyways, I'm excited for a fresh face for the same reason that you seem to be disliking her; The Doctor being second fiddle. It seemed to me, toward the end of series 6 the show was becoming more of "The Ponds and their comedic sidekick, The Doctor!"

I am going to give her a chance. I won't have a full opinion until I see her on Christmas Day(that her first episode, the Christmas Special). I love the Ponds though. I will miss them a ton. But I am excited about her, I haven't been disappointed with a companion yet!
 
It is too early to judge yet imo. I want to see the Doctor being the Doctor again and not a sidekick. I love Amy, I really do and she was a great companion but it is time to move on with a new companion. I never liked Martha. Maybe it was the actress or the way she was but I was glad she left the show. Donna was so much better!
I would like to see Jenny return! I don't talk about the actress but the character in general. She and her dad would make a great team together. Even if it was only for 1 episode or maybe 2.

I would love for Jenny to come back, that would be awesome! She would be great, the Doctor would love her.

I liked Martha, I think I'm the only one. I like everyone though, so, yeah:p
 
I love Rose and Donna and Amy hahahahaha! There are sometimes side characters you like to see return. There are a lot I would love to see return but Jenny is special since she is his daughter although not biological of course.
I know some people don't like Rose but I thought she was very cool and fair
 
I love Doctor Who... Unfortunately, the one I like is taken by my older sister *weeps*

The new doctor is alright. I heard from my mother that apparently the current companion is leaving and being replaced? Is that so?
 
No Maggie. I did not think you were personally attacking me or anyone else for that matter. I was just responding to your comment. I do agree that some people didn't want to give the other companions a chance. I didn't react that way. But I am now based on what I read about the new companion. I don't like how the character is being developed.
 
If anyone sees the trailer, can you tell me if you see River anywhere? I don't think I saw her but I can't be sure. I hope she's out of our hairs this time. I was getting tired of the whole River thing.
 
I would love to see River again, I really like her.

I watched a total of 8 different episodes today. Yes I am that crazy. I love Saturday.
 
Oh my gosh, I do that too! Saturday or Sunday, I settle down with a bowl of popcorn and watch a marathon of Doctor Who. Yes, I have no life. lol

Also, I like River because she's a really cool archaeologist and makes her own way in the world, but I do think her story on the show is a bit old by now. I'm looking forward to having a new companion - have you seen the pictures yet?
