Well,I know I can't be the only one...so fans of Elvis and rock and roll,come here and post your favorite songs!!!:D
I like..most everything..:p...but esp. "Fame and Fortune","Don't Be Cruel","Can't Help Falling In Love With You","Kentucky Rain","In The Ghetto",and "Where Do you Come From?".......:)

Oh boy...my fathr and oldeest brother used to be completely crazy about Elvis and a former schoolfriend Mark was prolly the biggest Elvis fan I've ever met :eek: Great singer and absolutely a legend :D
 
I love Elvis! :D My piano teacher is a huge fan, and about 5 or 6 years ago, it started to rub off on me. :p I collect all things Elvis.

I really love his early music, the 50's and the 60's. Some of his later stuff is good, but I prefer the earlier years. I love:

Can't Help Falling in Love
Don't Be Cruel
Let Me Be (Your Teddy Bear)
It's Now or Never
King Creole
If I Can Dream

And so many more...Has anyone ever been to Graceland? My family went two years ago this past spring. It's such a beautiful place, and it's very emotional to get an insight on Elvis' life.

Vanessa:I haven't seen that video on YouTube...I can't watch videos,sadly.:(But I got to see some of Elvis's performance on the Ed Sullivan show,in a "Memories from the 50s" DVD...:D
 
ELVIS!! He's so cute and hot and a great singer. (Although he's WAAAYYY Older than me--even if he's alive.) My favorite song is heartbreak hotel and Hounddog. I LOVE those songs. :p

Hes not alive anymore..died back in the 70s,I believe.:(
I love Hounddog,too..I love to play it and annoy my dog(she barks at it):p
 
He died in 1977. August 16th will be the 30th anniversary of his death. :(

He sure was good-looking when he was young, but if he was still alive, he would be exactly the same age as my grandma. :p
 
LOL! XD I know he passed away--It's just that IF he was a live he would still be older than me no matter what. He looked so cute in his videos, I can't help it! He's also a great dancer. In one talk show he was asked to dance, they only filmed the upper part of the body because they were afraid of how people would react at his feet. XD

I love "Return to Sender," "Love Me Tender," "Wear My Ring Around Your Neck," "Burning Love," "A Mess of Blues," "If I Can Dream," (Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear," "Jailhouse Rock," and so many more...He had such an amazing voice! :D And I absolutely love "Can't Help Falling in Love". I think that I'd like to walk down the aisle to that song one day (I'm not planning on getting married anytime soon :p).

Does anyone like his movies?

Yep!I do..esp."Love Me Tender",and "King Creole".:D
 
I like his movies, too, even though most of them were cheesy and a little goofy. :p He just has such a great personality that you can watch him at anything. I love the '68 Comeback special, I have it on DVD. The "If I Can Dream" song is amazing...I almost cry every time I watch it. :o :)

WOW!!!You have a concert!!Lucky!!I've always wanted to see one of his concerts...all I've seen is a clip from the Ed Sullivan show on YouTube.......
 
No, I haven't seen "Loving You."

"If I Can Dream" is amazing. I think it was written especially for him to sing in that special, and it's one of those "we can make the world a better place" type songs. What I really love about it is his voice in it...It seems a little more rough, or emotional or something. It's different than any other of his songs that I've ever heard. :)

I have the '68 Comeback Special and the "That's The Way It Is" DVD (I don't like that one as much, because it was a little later on, in the 70's, and those are my least favorite years of him and his music :o).

My favorite era of his music is the 50s when he sounded younger and all rock n rolly.:pBut I love his 60s,and 70s music too.My favorite song was 70s-"Can't Help Falling In Love With You".I also like one he did called "Thats the Wonder of You".:D
