Hey, you can't group all the hobbits together! That makes it to tempting to vote 'hobbit' because you get both Frodo *and* Sam.
Ok, well I'll list my favorites and why they are, weigh their strengths and weeknesses and then vote when I finish posting. (and I we're talking book characters here, right, not the movie ones?)
Frodo: Frodo sacrificed his home, his happiness and in the end, almost his life, for something greater than himself. He never looked back, and he never took the easy way out. He was faced the most trying adversities, and in the end he (well except that little thing that happened on Mount Doom, but we won't talk about them
) persivered.
Sam: There would be no Frodo without a Sam. If there was one word for Sam it would be 'loyalty', he followed Frodo (literally) to hell and back, and he never took a second thought about it. When Frodo fell, Sam carried him-I'vd always wanted a friend like him.
Aragorn: Aragorn is the kind of man I would follow in battle anyday, and I don't know what else you can say about him. In the words of Theoden 'Let this be the hour when we draw swords together'.
Gandalf: Gandalf in my oppionion, is 'pure good', which is not how we think of good. He is not a 'loving' and 'feely' person, but rather has a gruffness and aurthity about him that commands respect and reverance. And yet even in his 'grumpyness' he cares about men, hobbits, ect, and when he transformes to Gandalf the White, he almost becomes more himself. (if that makes any sense)
And I could wright an entire page and a half concering why I love Faramir so much. (middle child sindrome kicking in again)
-Ok, well since I get both Frodo and Sam, I'm voting 'Hobbit' but I don't have to be happy about it!
