Favorite Part of the Trailer

Since there are so many negative viewpoints, here's a positive thread: what's your favorite part of the trailer? What parts that were in the trailer are you most looking forward to?

Negative talk/criticism isn't allowed. Sorry, but if the nitpickers can have their say, so can we. ;)

the trailer was just so good i could not pick one! I really like Lucy alot so seeing her was the best for me!!:D

Somehow I figured that. ;)

I dont' know what my favorite part was...I think seeing Lucy all grown up. Or mostly anyway. I liked all of it really.

She really is all grown up - her voice sounds so mature and melodious. :) George has really made the best Lucy at all ages, wouldn't you say?

I am also looking forward to Susan and Peter's cameo's. I am really hoping we get to see a glimpse of them in England, despite the narnian looking clothes I saw!

Whether or not anybody else noticed it or not I don't know but my favorite part was when Aslan was talking to them at the end of the world the Wave covering Aslan's country from view can be seen- that was exciting.:D
And Lucy and Ed looked great, so did all the islands featured and I liked the two boys comments:
Ed: If there are no wars to fight then why are we here?
Eustace: This place just gets weirder and weirder!

:D

I liked the Magician's book scene. It looked cool for Lucy to look into the mirror and see herself, followed by her seeing Susan.

I also liked the Seal of Lilies.

I decided that pictures would best describe my favourite parts of the trailer. Apparently I can only post 4 pics so I'll post the last right after this.

Before I even saw the trailer, I knew that this scene would be my favourite...and it is. The look on Lucy's face compared to Edmund's and, most importantly, Eustace's, is priceless.

I was surprised that some people weren't impressed by Caspian's new look. I think it suits the character. Too bad we couldn't of gotten to hear Ben Barnes's voice, though. It will be interesting to hear him with a British accent.

Edmund looks like he's grown up in this scene – a lot. I like it, actually.

The whole part concerning Lucy and the book is awesome...from the beauty scene to the snow.

My favourite line of the trailer was Eustace's "This place just keeps getting weirder and weirder!"
But honestly, I like the whole trailer – every single bit of it.

By the way, if you want to use any of these screencaps, go ahead. I took them myself but you can go ahead and do what you like with them. I have a few more, as well, so just yell if you'd like them.

Lucy (or should I say, Georgie) has certainly grown up since LWW, even PC. No more little girls who want to play hide-and-seek, “pretty please?” :)

I have to admit Lucy has maturity to her that she never did before. She's growing up and It's actually quite a beauitful thing to have it captured on film. :)

Picture #1:
Lucy looks so pretty in this scene! The way she said a lot of her lines reminds me of Anna as Susan. Isn't it funny though how this scene speaks to a truth about us girls - we don't see the beauty in ourselves, we often compare it to others and are unsatisfied.

Picture #2:
Lucy WOULD be utterly delighted. If it weren't for Ed's and Lucy's obvious experience with magic, I can almost hear them saying to Eustace,"Looks like your plumbing has a leak," in a cheeky way. I am so excited for and delighted with what we've seen of this scene. I love exactly the way Eustace says the line in this scene.

Picture #3:
I very much like Caspian's look myself. He looks quite distiniguished and gives him that look of maturity that he needs this time around. I didn't know he was speaking with an English accent now.
Have I missed something? And is it because he is becoming more Narnian? When was this announced?

Picture#4:
I'm quite excited about Ed growing up. He and Lucy are making a great team - I am liking their interaction now. Quite the contrast between now and LWW, hm? And honestly - I think his trying to lie about his age and join up completely suits is character and is quite amusing (if it wasn't so serious). I think his frustration level is perfect, and as Ed has a different character from Peter, I don't think we'll see exactly the same reaction, but he is allowed to be frustrated once in awhile.
Speaking of Peter, ever think he might have joined up and is currently serving in the army? Sounds like a Movie Peter thing to do, considering he was aged for the films - and in keeping historically with the second world war, his devotion to duty and honour, not to mention his battle experiences as a warrior king.

Picture#5: Ah Lucy and the book! One of my most favourite scenes! The bit with Susan is perfect.

Wow. So many to choose from... so I'll try to be short

1. Ed trying to slip into the army and Lucy busting in on him... .poor Ed

2. The kids entering through the portrait... I like the room filling with water... in the book, I thought they were pulled in to the picture :eek:

3. Seeing Eustance... I didn't find a lot of info on him... and he does have to carry the last 2 films as well

4. Clips of the isle of nightmares...terrified Edmund

5. What looked like Lucy aiming with her bow and arrow, Reepicheep, entering the land of the Duffers

I'm a total book purist when it comes to these movie adaptions, but I've gotta say, this is actually siking me up. I'm kinda just posting my initial reaction, since I'm afraid I'm a bit too lazy to go look at the bashing threads.

With Prince Caspian, I didn't get the chills down my spine when the trailer came out, like I did for LWW. This probably has a lot to do with the fact that Michael Apted is directing, as opposed to Andrew.. and probably because Disney isn't involved anymore. Whatever the reason, I got the chills of excitement.

And unlike Prince Caspian, this doesn't look like it will totally stray from the book. Call me crazy, though, as much as I disliked Ben in PC, I liked his new Dawn Treader look. :/

Anyways. From what I've seen, this looks like it's got a lot of that "childlike wonder" in there, more like LWW... doesn't seem as jaded and dark as PC. I'm not sure if I like the fact that the White Witch has made another appearance YET AGAIN, but I can understand why they want Tilda around.. as well as Susan and Peter. I'm actually pretty excited to see them cameos in VotDT.

My favorite part was probably the Sea of Lilies and the glimpse of Dufflepuds and the parts with the Magician and his house. =] The beginning scene was pretty cute too.

I can't believe how grown up Georgie has become! It's lovely... and Skandar. Oh, Skandar. My inner Skandar fan has re-emerged. I gotta wait till December for this?!

A book fan with an open mind! I finally found one! Yay! :D haha. I love Ben's look; I think it makes him look more like a king and less like a kid. A beard would have been out of place in PC, but here it seems natural. But of course, whatever is on his face doesn't matter; I'll always be a fan of Ben. ;)

It was announced a few weeks ago. Here is the link to the news posting on NarniaFans - http://www.narniafans.com/archives/8542

I'm not sure why they chose to drop the accent. I mean, it's not necessary or anything but it's not like people can drop an accent that fast. Even in Narnia. Oh well :p

That was my initial thought when I first read that. Three years isn't that long. I suppose with all the magic in Narnia, anything is possible. I mean, a softer Telmarine accent would have worked - you know a changing accent a mix of English/Telmarine probably would have been more appropriate...but who's being picky? :p It's a minor detail, I suppose, but it still seems weird.

~~~~~~~~
I have to say, I think most of us posting in here are book fans with open minds, but on different levels. I have been absolutely devoted to the books since I was little, and know the stories and the facts and details of Narnia very well.
I did not become a fan of Narnia because of the movies. I grew up on the books and the BBC's adaptation of Narnia (which sometimes mucks up my remembrance of certain details in the books, and I apologize for that in advance, because I'm remembering their adaptation in my head).
However, I have to say that I do not come into the movie expecting it to be exactly as in the book - I come in with the expectation that the books need to be adapted to transfer well to the big screen.
In fact, I think a lot of us would be disappointed if they didn't write a good screen play. That said I think that the word "adapted" seems to have a bit of a different definition to each of us. Some people quake in fear at the word, believing that it means rewriting the story and only basing the concept on a book.
I view it differently. For example, I fully expect the story of the Dawn Treader to be there. I expect all the main details of the story, even down to important phrases and descriptions of things.
For example, if they did not tell Eustace's story of the Dragon, I'd be rather upset - and further if they didn't include Or if they decided not to include Aslan's table or Jadis was causing icicles to form on the ship each morning - that would be ridiculous.
But if they flesh it out, give the story as is more depth, with character's and situations that naturally enhance what we want to see, then I'm perfectly happy.
So far in what they have done in all movies, despite minor changes that I wished they hadn't made, they have captured what was already in my imagination.
That said, I am VERY excited with this trailer - and its warmth, magic and excitement once again.
I liked how Lucy and Edmund were wielding the bow and arrows and Rhindon (he was holding Rhindon, right?). It's like they're following in the footsteps of their siblings. I also liked the music.
Overall I really liked the trailer.
