Funniest moment in the movie?

Well all the ones mentioned were great and there were a few others.

Edmund: that’s from my Chess set
Peter: What Chess set?
Edmund: well I didn’t very well have a solid gold set in Finchley now did I.
I love the look Edmund gives Peter

Trumpken: Drop him...DROP HIM! That was the best you could think of?
I don’t know why but that brought a smile to my face along with when he said “You’ve got to be kidding me.” when he realized who they were.
Susan: You see as water runes over the earth’s soil over hundreds of years it erodes away at the ground causing-
Peter: Oh shut up.” I thought that played into the first movie so brilliantly and humorously.

Reepacheep: Pick up your sward Telmarean!
Caspian: I’d rather not
Reep: I will not fight an unarmed man.
Caspian: that is why if I may live longer if I choose not to cross blades with you noble mouse
Reep: I said I would not fight you. I never said I will not kill you
Truflehunter: Reepacheep stay your blade!
Reepacheep: Trufflehunter I expect you have a very good reason for this untimely interruption
Nikabrick: No he doesn’t go head
I don’t know why but they way this was delivered made me smile and chuckle at times.

Reep: well I was expecting someone taller.
Trupken: oh you’re one to talk
Reep: is that Irony
Reep was just great all around and so was Trumpkin

Prunaprismia: I don’t want to have to shoot you
Susan: Neither do we!
Miraz: this used to be a privet room
In a very emotional scene I thought Miraz’s line and delivery was that little bit of funny that they needed. Well I will stop for now
Lucy: I was so tall
Susan: well you were older then
Edmund: as apposed to hundreds of years later when you are younger :)

Lucy: Maybe we should listen to the DLF
Edmund: the DLF?
Susan: Dear little fiend
Trumpkin: Oh that’s not patronizing at all

Caspian: She has served me well. You are in good hands
Lucy: or hooves
Caspian: Now that you are here you should have this again [hands her the horn]
Susan: No you keep it. You may need to call me again [gallops off]
Lucy: you may need to call me?
Susan: Oh shut up

Reep: The tail is the honor and glory of a mouse
Aslan: perhaps you think too much of your honor
Reep: Well it’s not just that. It’s good for balance and climbing and grabbing things.
The other mice: If it pleases you we will not go without an honor denied to our chief
Aslan: not for your honor mouse but for the love of your people
Reep: this will be a constant humility
That little bit made me smile

1.) When Lucy sees Reepicheep and says "Oh he's so cute!" and he goes on the defensive and tries to give her adjectives to replace cute with.

2.) When Caspian says "You are a mouse." And Reepicheep responds "I was hoping for something more original."

3.) When the mice tied up the cat.

I almost forgotten the scene where Trumpkin and Edmund had that play bout. I laughed at that scene.

'Oh, are you alright?'

Score one for Trumpkin.

I really loved the bit about how Edmund just falls off the castle and he lands on the gryffin or whatever. And then I also loved the part where he's talking to Miraz and he says

"Actually it's King Edmund. But just king. Peter's the high king. I know. It's confusing. But you'll understand after a while."

Or whatever. That was funny.:p

I thought it was very funny and sad at the same time when the Pevensies return to the tube station all disoriented and that Geek Boy is so pleased to see Susan saying "Aren't you coming, Phyllis?" Only increasing the confusion of course. :D

Yeah, that was good comic relief! And at the very beginning when she introduced herself as Phyllis and Lucy called her "Susan!", I laughed as well.

The scene where Reepiceep and his valiant mice are sneaking into the castle, they spot the cat and he smiles.

In the next scene, the cat is gagged and bound.

Does anyone get this obscure C.S. Lewis reference?

When C.S Lewis was a child, he wrote stories about a mouse knight named Sir Peter who would fight cats as human knights fought dragons.

Although there were several humorous moments in the film which have been pretty well covered in this thread, the funniest moment for me was when the Telmarines were getting ready to retreat across the bridge and they halt staring at little Lucy, initially all alone and she hauls out that little dagger and just smiles at the entire army coming at her. Of course later we see Aslan, but that first part with her alone smiling at the Telmarines was just too good.

Lucy Pevensie: Oh my gosh, he's so cute.
Reepicheep: [Reepicheep draws his sword and looks around] Who said that?
Lucy Pevensie: Um, sorry.

that made me chuckle and then after when he was like why not Noble or knightly but cute..?

I also ADORED that part. I really loved it when Edmund was talking to Miraz and said "So you're bravely refusing to fight a swordsman half your age?". That part was also very cute.

I also loved it when Peter cut his shirt and was trying to make a torch when Edmund whipped out his handy-dandy flashlight and Peter goes "You could have mentioned that earlier!".

:p

Aw, that was so cute! It was funny to see everyone get along so well but still poke fun at Peter a bit. :D Quite like old times, but changed.

I knooow!! I love their relationships on film because you know that is probably how it's like off set.

Yes!

I'm normally good about separating characters from actors and -you know- just generally reserving my affection for the fiction rather than the 3D people who play them. However, because they all were sort of type-cast and are very young, I find myself helplessly fond of them. I do hope they all grow up to have fulfilling lives.

This relates to the funniest moment because.... yeah, that torch scene was so cute and funny with their family dynamics. Susan and Ed watching Peter's purposeful (yet unneccessary) attempts at making a torch with amusement; Lucy watching on with trusting bewilderment. Peter being obliged to laugh at himself --one who otherwise takes everything very seriously.

A moment that was very cute, funny, and real to family life.

I definitely agree. It's hard not to watch them and not grow fond of them.

That scene is really great for me because it does remind me of my younger sister and brother. I know that's exactly what they would do to me. So I found that quite funny.

Yeah, I have a big family of siblings and all the special craziness and inner community that results. They are your best friends and worst critics. :)

I did like it when we were made to believe that Reepicheep intended to kill the cat, then we learned he and his buddies had merely tied it up and muzzled it.

"He won't stop staring!"
"then don't look at him."
*tries to look away, but Trumpkin gives him a look that if it was put into words might make it an R. Telemarine solider gets more and more uncomfortable*

(BTW, who did those two soilders play in LOTR? It was in their resume.)
KR

For some odd reason when Caspian says "You are Narnians.. You are supposed to be extinct." I can't stop laughing. I was the only one laughing in the Theatre. :o Just because of his accent and how he says it. A lot of the things Caspian said with his accent made me giggle. Also with Edmund. His little quick one liners made me laugh too.

Their resumes on IMDB.com say that they were stunt performers on LOTR so it makes sense that we don't know exactly who.

Ha ha! Yes, for me I was amused when he said "I am Prince Caspian, the Tenth". For the longest time I thought he was saying "detente" which didn't really make sense.

But probably the one moment where I laughed insanely in the theater due to Ben's accent/Telmarine persona was during the raid, with his sword at his uncle's throat, and he says "No!" in this short emphatic way with his eyes closed and his head shaking abruptly, hair moving. :D
