Future Caspian Discussion Thread

My honest opinion of this Jeremy Sumpter. I honestly feel like there was something wrong. He makes me think of the kid who play Caspian in the BBC version, which by the way felt like a really bad dream. You have no idea how weird he looked to me. If you guys are gonna promote that guy, you might as well promote a girl. Because last time I checked he was the only male to ever play peter pan. So I don't want that feeling going into this movie. I don't like the feeling or thinking that Kathy Rigby was there second choice. GET A NEW FACE SO I DON'T HAVE TO HEAR THIS ANYMORE. Now if you guys want to talk about who will play his evil uncle or doctor cornelius, a character that may be played by a familiar, that would be great. At this point in the game, we don't need to talk about Caspian's part because we all know that we won't know who he is. Now when they cast him then I say we start talking about how he looks good for the part or looks bad for the part. Until then talk about something else. Please, every thread looks the same!!!
 
u guys let's not froget that jeremy already know s how to sword fight!
and he looks like how caspian should, well, what i think he should look like from the books!
 
Ok why didn't anyone tell me they had a trailer for Stormbreaker. I had no idea what Alex Pettyfer looked like, but now I see this kid could very well be Prince Caspian. He looks the part right, and you don't feel like it's some little kiddie running around making the movie bad. This kid has already proved himself in the trailer for Stormbreaker, I actually got chills, he definately going to be in the running, but Sumpter doesn't have a chance :p

Plus, I'd like for a real English actor to play Caspian, instead of an American, and I would like to see all of the main characters in the upcoming movies to be unknown ones. I think it just works better.

Although I do think Orlando would make a nice Rillian. =)

THANK YOU!!! I am not the only one with those opinions!!!!! But I do think that John Ryes-Davies would be sooo funny to get a part in one of them! That would be awesome!

I want to see it too. I want to hear what this guy sounds like. I liked Jeramy Sumpter for awhile, but now he just gets on my nerves. I also don't think he's a good enough actor to play Caspian. He would kind of ruin the movie for me, because I would keep seeing Peter Pan. I haven't seen Alex Pettyfer act either, so I'm not judging yet, but I just don't want Sumpter to play Caspian. Besides, Alex Pettyfer looks more perfect for Caspian than Sumpter. Just my opinion, disagree if you like.

Oh and to answer all your questions:
- The only movie he has been in so far is 'Tom Brown's School Days' Which was a British TV movie.
- He is going to be in Stormbreaker then I have also heard Rumors of him being in a Pirates of the Caribbean Movie.
- He IS hott, isn't he?
- He's only 15. He turns 16 in April.
-I think he is a perfect Caspian. Jeremy Sumpter has his moments, but I can't picture him as Caspian....it just doesn't fit.
- His complete name is Alex Pettyfer. So you wont confuse him with any other Alex's. :D

I think I read somewhere that Caspian was 15 years old in Prince Gaspian, so I dont think Jeremy Sumpter would fit the part so good. He's like 6 feet tall. But I think it wouldn't matter that much if the one who plays Caspian is American or English as long as he can act English, talk with an English accent.

But my first choice would be someone who is English and not famous. If not famous, maybe Harry Eden. And in Voyage of the Dawn Threader, Orlando Bloom could play Caspian, he looks very young and all so I think he would be good.

I think out of these 2, Alex should be Caspian, but you never know. Maybe there's a person that nobody knows about yet, and they look just like Caspian should!
 
I defitantly think after finding more out about him, that he should be Caspian! But will he be too busy with the second StormBreaker movie, if they are making it?
 
Just watched the Stormbreaker trailer. Not very informative on what the movie's about, but I think it looks pretty good. I'll look for the book...
