LOL Elindil - yes of course Christmas is in Summer (you upside down digereegoo playing Aussie!)
Joint fave winter and summer - summer hot and lovely tan weather, winter snuggly weather avec Crimbo and my birthudaday. Spring and autumn are just cold, rainy, gloomy and miserable.
Not an upsidedown digeriodoo play. More like a Fairdinkim, True Blue, West Aussie. And You are a POM.
New Q: What is the worst pain you've ever experiened?
Mine was when I swung from one rope swing to another, and the rope snapped. I landed flat on my back and I couldn't move. I just lay there and screamed. I thought I must have broke my back. (Thank goodness I didn't!) But I couldn't walk without a lip for while.
In winter it's all warm and cosy, plus christmas... and of course you (sometimes) get snow. Spring you get all the colours coming back again, which is always nice. Summer you get warm weather, and holidays. Autumn you get the wet and miserable weather, or the cold and clear weather (which I love).
Worst pain... Hmm... Dunno really... Once where I picked up mmelting aluminium... Now THAT was painful. But I dunno. I can't really remember how painful all the painful things that happened to me were, just that... well... they were painful.
Worst pain, probably the one when I was little and dropped a curling iron on my foot,(I still have a little scar from that one)or possibly when I picked up a piece of charcoal. Need I say more?
Same Q.
P.S. Oh yeah, and Elindil I too have had a bad experience on a rope swing.
The worst pain I can remember is when my older brother slammed my pinky finger in the door and the finger nail fell off. I still have nightmares about it...
Same Q: What is the worst pain you've ever experiened?
the worst pain i've ever had???either mounting a horse with a saddle too small after not riding for some years or smashing my pinky toe into a hvy metal bedleg....owie....then there was the time i got sat on by a big round guy and a girl at the same time while trying to keep my water gun in my hand and keep the kid who was trying to take it from falling out of the raft into the river...
The worst pain? I can't recall a real time of such extreme pain in my life (praise God!), but I do recall when I was younger I tried to get something in our garage, slipped, fell, and was impaled by the chain-wheel on my bike. It wasn't a deep impalement, but I bear scars to this day.
I've just gotta say re the 'pain' Q, I'm glad we're all sticking to the pain caused by falling off/onto things dropping things etc..emotional pain..there's a whole other kettle of fish based creatures! Well done for keeping it cheery!
If it's emotional pain, I think it would be best to refrain from my own experiences. There is far too much, but the Lord bears my burdens and "...leads me beside the still waters," and I can arise to a new, fresh day, each and every day. Glorious peace.
My worst ever pain was probably when I jumped down the stairs (you know when you're near the bottom so you decide to jump the last few), and landed right on an upturned plug! I had to shake it out of my foot which wasnt pleasant, and the only thing my mum could say was 'Dont bleed on the carpet!!!!' - Love ya mum
LOL, WHB, that sounds awful! I was surprised Johan couldn't muster up any worse pain than he did, considering his permanently gloomy outlook on things. I found the worst pain ... and this is really horrific ... a migraine headache. You know that it will pass in 3-4 hours, but while it is visiting you, it hurts so bad you seriously consider taking an ice pick and driving it into your eyeball in case that would somehow get to the pain and make it stop! Our Thomas Jefferson was a migraine sufferer, and it caused him to conclude that "Life is the avoidance of pain." Ouch.
My dad gets migraines quite often - I've had one or two...and they're certainly up there in physical pain. The only contestor to that is when my brother caught my leg with this jagged piece of metel off his bike and ended up tearing through the skin and into my shin. We were riding our bikes side by side and it went pretty deep in and tore out a nice hunk of my leg.
Oh yea, another time was when I fell off a horse and landed on my hand. And it swelled and I couldn't move it for a week. And when I was four I was jumping from my bed to my sister's and I missed and bashed my head open on the metal edge. And when I burn myself on some boiling toffee and couldn't get the stupid peice of stuff (Still boiling) off my finger.
I should say that praise God, I rarely get a migraine any more! For a time, I was getting them quite frequently, and it was very unpleasant. I think God healed me!!!
Sorry for the digression, but I did not want to let that go unnoticed. I had suffered with them all my life, and in the last few years, they have tailed off, so thank the Lord.
hmmmmm....can all three lotr's count as one??? if so i'd go w/ all lotr,The Passion...and The Phantom Menace(starwars)...if not i'd go w/ The Fellowship of the Ring,The Two Towers...and the Return of the King!
