Give a theme song to the person above you!

For Lonny, the old Noel Coward song "Sail Away," not to be confused with two or three other songs that have used the same title.

And a remark to Dayhawk: so far I've been old (or was I too modest to realize that the point was ME HAVING a heart of gold?), and susceptible to ladies getting me drunk. But I do believe that the right words from "Frog On My Toe" can be construed as a compliment of sorts! :)

Alice, I give you Mason Williams' once-famous guitar-and-orchestra instrumental "Classical Gas." Not because of the silly title, but because of the musical mood.

Shadow Kitty, since I am an advocate of the survival of the state of Israel, and since a certain slick huckster whom I'm not supposed to mention is buddies with men who want to annihilate Israel entirely, that Jerusalem song unfortunately may REALLY be appropriate.

Don't apologize, Amy; that's a magnificent hymn, and was written by a man who understood loss.

I give you Wagner's Meistersinger Overture.

"Be Thou My Vision" is one of my favorites, too; we sang it at a Promise Keepers event I attended.

Amy, next I give you the romantic Irish ballad "The Star of the County Down."
