Thats why that part in the "age of steel"
the cyberman is asking the doctor:
"have you ever felt pain,grief,anger?"
doctor:"yes"
cyberman:"did it ever hurt?"
Doctor: "Oh yes..."

he remembers,but moves on...while carrying on a lecture in the most undisturbed or threatened of tones...:D
 
Oh can you feel the nip as it bites at your ears?
can you hear the kids as they laugh oh those dears,
can you smell the pies and cookies and cakes
can you feel the lips,a kiss from you she takes
can you taste the frosty joy in air???
Oh can you tell me what this is?
what is this sensation so many boys
and girls have enjoyed?
I can't trust my eyes,oh do they deceive?

as I shake my bell along
Peppermint kisses and sugarsnap hugs
santa claus ornaments and glass ladybugs
see the white tree as it glistens
the sugarplum fairies to the snowflakes listen
Oh can you taste it,oh can you believe?
Guess what tonight it?

I think that I shall never see
A poem as lovely as a shrub
Now "shrub" may mean the same as "tree"
But sound quite odd...aye, there's the rub.

there is still some good in the earth
while most of the evil creeps in like death
some things can still be like birth
joyful and happy to distract your mind
from the inevitable nothing
that to your soul tries to bind
church bells and weddings
ice cream and cake
birthdays and christmas
pot roasts and bakes
carnivals and coasters
candy and tea
oceans and beaches

Heres another poem:



I lay awake in bed sometimes
and cannot be consoled
because I worry about my being
and my future thats untold
I try to be a good girl
but sometimes things slip out
I shout and lose my temper
or say a swear and pout
I'm always very sorry
but that quiet nagging doubt
haunts me in my mind
and I can never get it out
Then are those who aren't quite so understanding
of how my growing mind,of my actions is demanding
They rub it in a bit and ignore all my pleas
to try and with many apologies
So this last time I found,It was her fault not mine
so I close my eyes and rest
I can sleep just fine​

Three in the same line of work

not still look like a jerk?
One is a singing
and the other two prancin' on stage
one of em's weildin' a sword
and other a screwdriver with rage
and the third one is just plain old shy

If you want you can see her,you just need to ask

She'll bloom what you planted,'cause you did it best
You were right,but also quite wrong
it budded a Rose,but a rose with a song
She has some deep feelings but those I hide up
