I've been reading a BIT too much of Adam's Blog, and sort of starting to talk like the spazzy little dyspeptic. But ANYWAY,while suffering from a somewhat watered down version of his ailment(insomnia) last night,I concocted a BRILLIANT idea: To the Moon and Back Again.
I go by the name Lady Airplane when composing music and last night I decided that since "Paper Airplane" is going to Adam,I'd better get my own record started and use that old 80's era keyboard sitting amongst the piles of Monster High and Barbie dolls.
I've also ALWAYS wanted to hear a sequence of songs in a record that correspond with each other and go together as one big story. seeing how, everyone would rather write about sex and dancing, seems like I'm going to have to be the one to do it.
My concept is: Someone(obviously a girl, since I'm doing the vocals) is going to the moon and back again. Each song is about getting there, being there, and coming home. Here's what I got so far:
1. Dear Houston
2. Suitcase
3.Benjamin
4.Backyard Takeoff
5.Suspended Bliss
6.Shooting Star
7.Alien
8. Little blue box
Nothing else has gotten conceived yet,but inspiration is everywhere!
Here are the lyrics to Dear houston:
*Ring* Hello?
I think we have a problem
Hello Houston, are you on the line?
how are you?
Oh I'm just fine
how about a cup of tea
come on down at half past 3
that old moon can wait awhile
........
DEAR HOUSTON
How are you?
I've got a sitch
it's dark in here with no light switch
I also have misplaced the jam
and the television just went BAM
HEY! what are you doing with that phone?
don't hang up! oh darn it,SLAM.
.......
Lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalallalalalala
*hello houston? HEEEEEEEELLLLLOOOOO? are you there?"
