House: Ravenclaw
Bloodstatus: Half
Bio: Parents moved from Egypt this summer so she's never been to hogwarts before. She knows the english language well but dose slipp up sometimes and talks with a brittish accent as that was what her teacher had. Is bright and intuative and unafriad to ask questions

"Well--," Amanda started, struggling for words. She glanced down at her novel, knowing she would not be able to finish it if she had to make small-talk with a stranger. She decided to be polite and put a bookmark in the spot where she left off and smiled kindly. "No, go right ahead. I'm Amanda. Are you new here? I don't recognize you..."

ok like I said I am really not familiar with anything of HP before the first movie so I might need some help

James didn’t mind the solitude but he needed to sit and so he slowly moved back to his compartment and stopped outside the door of one listening to two girls.

"Egypt?" Amanda's mind went wild, racing through tombs and pyramids. "Whoa...did you go to school there? Why did you move? I'm in Ravenclaw. You're going to love Hogwarts. It's amazing. Best is the History. In my opinion, Dumbledore has been the best headmaster. He actually helped in defeating Lord Voldemort a few years back." Amanda suddenly realized how much she had been talking and quieted down immediately.

Kath smiled at the girls reaction. "Please dont stop, I'd like to know more, your questions, One o was homeschooled, two i moved because they egyptians are havin trouble with some international widardry war and my father wanted to be out of it, three I'm in Ravenclaw too and four im sure i will like it if people are as nice as you," she finished still smiling.

Al peered out the window. They were now passing several green hills and and a large lake was passing in under the bridge they were going over. Al's cat (PIC:http://www.dkimages.com/discover/previews/860/20094126.JPG ) Midnight was sitting on his lap purring. She noticed a fly on the window and went after it. Al took out his wand and looked at it. He was now a 3rd (?) year at Hogwarts and he knew quite a bit of spells. Plus his Father taught him many as well with his Mother. He put it back in his cloak and looked around the carriage. He was the only one inside. But he didnt mind, he liked the privacy. Suddenly an announcement came oto the speakers. " We shall be arriving at Hogwarts soon " Said the announcer. Al smiled. He absolutly loved Hogwarts. It was basically his home away from home. He had gotten his fathers exact bed when he first came to Hogwarts and was placed in Griffendor.
ooc: she can talk to Ben and Fred if she doesn't mind talking to people a year younger than her
also it appears that Amanda and Kath are fifth yearsic:
Vida grinned up at Rose, "Hi there, I was wondering when you'd show up." She stood up to hug Rose as well. "Do you know where Al is?"
ooc: hey Narnian1 Ella is quite welcome to come talk to Ben and Fred who will be sitting in their compartment discussing random things until someone shows up

Fred finished putting his trunk and sat down across from Ben, "It's strange, usually by now our compartment has been invaded by someone else."
"Maybe they're expecting you to set up some booby trap over the door." Ben was looking out the window, oblivious to the fact that Fred actually had set up a trap by the door.
"Hmm I wonder why they would think that..." Fred joined him in staring out the window, trying to act innocent.

Ella walked down the corridor trying to find Ben and Fred. Finally she came to their compartment. She stood there trying to think of whether to just go in or not. Knowing Fred, he probably set something up. Just then she heard someone coming from behind her. It looked as though it was one of the 5th year Syltherins so she quickly ducked into Fred and Ben's compartment without even thinking.

Amanda beamed. She stroked Sweep's back absentmindedly, and her mind wandered over to the international wizardry war.. She had not heard of such a war. "What is the war over?" she asked her new friend. She thought about Voldemort and hoped that a new dictator hadn't been the cause of this new war. Then she grabbed her copy of the Quibbler and looked at the cover. A dark-haired handsome man was on the front. He had glasses over his bright green eyes, and a peculiar lightening-shaped scar on his forehead. She read the bright green title:

Rose hugged Vida and shrugged at her question.
"He's probably wandering around somewhere." She said rolling her eyes with a smile as she stepped into the compartment with a slightly odd looking ginger cat closely following her feet. Rose sat down across from Chloe and Vida with Crookshanks, her family's cat hopping up next to her.

"I'm going to go find James. Want to come?" Hannah asked Angel. She picked up Jewkes and headed out of the compartment. A few compartments down she saw two girls. One a 5th year Ravenclaw she had met before and one she hadnt. She had always liked most Ravenclaws, after all Luna had been one. Had she not been sorted into Gryffindor she would have preferred Ravenclaw. Hannah stuck her head in.
"Sorry to interrupt but has either of you seen James Potter?" She asked. Jewkes, her kitten lept from her arms and up onto the seat bedside the Ravenclaw she had met before.

Amanda looked up from her magazine at the two girls who had just entered the compartment. Sweep looked up at the intruding feline warily. "Hannah! Angel! How are you guys? How were your summers? No, I haven't seen James anywhere. This is Kath, by the way," she added, smiling at her friend.
