Ella flipped through the book and wrote down page numbers that might be useful. "Hey Fred, let's try one out." She said grinning having read the description of the spell. "Levicorpus!" She said pointing her wand at Fred.

Fred flew up in the air and dangled upside down in the air and started laughing. "Thanks Ella, are you going to let me down?" He said.

Ella smiled. "Maybe if I can find the counter." She said simply and flipped slowly through her book as if she was trying to find it.
"Come on Ella." Fred said after a few more seconds.

Ella laughed. "Ok." She swished her wand and said, "Liberacorpus."

"That's a cool one." Fred said smiling approvingly after he had fallen back into his chair. (ooc: is approvingly a word?? hmm oh well)

"But you know, we know so many people who are older than us" he pointed out. "We could learn from them since they've already done it and then once we're all on the same level we can all start learning new stuff together." He grabbed her hand, "Why don't we go find Vida and Scorpius then we'll talk to some of the older students we know."

She nodded " All right lets go then if it makes you happy," she told him.

"yes we so," he said thinking back to the time when his father and Hogwarts students very much like this were faced with "getting prepared"

"We'll definitely add that one to our list." said Kyle, scribbling something on a piece of paper they had been writing their spells on.

"And the good thing is it seems easy to learn," Ben pointed out.

They found Vida and Scorpius in the Great Hall playing Wizards chess and explained to them what they wanted to do.

"It sounds good to me," said Vida. "What about you Scorpius?"

"Do you even have to ask?" Scorpius said standing up. "Let's go find Ella, Ben and Fred, they're the oldest students we know."

ooc: come to think of it, where are Ella and Ben etc.?
 
ooc: how about courtyard?

Ella smiled and continued flipping through the books, writing useful spells down. She wondered if James had found Hannah and if he had forgotten to tell her that she needed to see her.

"Probably your book can help and they can help." He said, "We're about to find out, I found them." He pointed across the courtyard.
 
Ben looked up from his book and saw Vida, Chloe, Scorpius and Nick coming toward them. "Hello, what are you up to?" He asked them.

"We were just wondering something," Nick began. Then he explained what they had come for, with Chloe's help on a few parts.

"Well, the funny thing is that's what we're all here doing." Ben told them, "Ella had the same idea that we should start teaching ourselves some more defensive spells and we were just looking some up. How about you guys go find James and Hannah and bring them here so we can discuss when we should do it? We've already decided that we'll do it in the Room of Requirement."

"All right, come on Chloe, let's go look for them" Nick said.

"And Scorpius and I will look for them as well, we'll meet back here soon." Vida added.
 
ooc: where might I be finding James and Hannah?

"Here, we'll go look around the upper floors inside and you guys can start from the bottom up All right?" Nick told Vida and Scorpius.

"All right, but you have the advantage, you have Chloe who can search more methodically than any of us," Vida joked.

"However you guys are more prone to midnight wanderings," Nick pointed out, "I think we're about even. All right, we're off." He waved goodbye to them and he and Chloe started off for Hogwarts at a run while Vida and Scorpius followed more slowly.
 
Hannah walked out of the tunnel onto the seventh floor corridor. The common room was down the hall but she didnt really feel like going to the common room. Plus if April and James wanted to hang out with her she couldnt be in the common room. She turned around and looked for them to see if they had followed her out.
 
"Maybe." She said smiling back at him. "Let's find the others and see if they are interested." April was still climbing out of the tunnel. "The old fashioned way or shall we speed things up a bit?" She asked.
