Aoife bit her lip and pulled out her cell phone. She hadn't called Oliver in months, but found his name in her contacts and called anyway.

Aoife shrugged again. "I forgot to delete it?" She tried, but knew Dani wouldn't buy it. You were always hoping you'd make up and call him back, Aoife thought to herself bitterly.

Dani rolled her eyes. "Sure... sometimes Aoife, when it comes to things like this, you sure can be pathetic. But I love you anyway," she added, smiling. "Did he pick up yet?"

Aoife shook her head. Then there was a click and Oliver's voice. "Hey, it's Oliver...uh, I can't come to the phone - jeez, stop it, James! - um, I can't come to the phone right now, so call back later or leave a message." Aoife disconnected and sighed. "Message machine," she said.

Oliver paused. What was going on between Mike and Dayton? It was confusing him almost as much as this whole situation with Aoife.
