"Come on, I really think it's this way," he said, walking quickly towards the path.

"Right behind you." Christine said keeping up with him but her thoughts still in New York wondering how she would make it, excited and nervous at the same time. Her parents had wantedher to go to college first but when she got accepted into the Company they had finally changed their minds and were even excited even though she had tried out behind their backs.

"Once again he let out the whistle and like before it jumped all around off the mountains, "I hope they can tell where that is comming from."

 

[Sunshine]

The whistle sounded again. "Yeah, I'm positive it's up this way."

Olivia took her hands off her ears. "Me too." She walked a few feet away and sat down. "We better stay here."

Christine nodded and followed. She hoped he wasnt following an echo, but she liked hiking so she didnt mind, plus who was she to correct him, she had gotten them into this. She looked up at the sun through the trees and smiled as it danced on her face.

"Paul? Olivia?" Samuel called, cupping his hands over his mouth.

Olivia stood up. "Samuel?" She called back. "Where are you?" She started walking again, trying to fallow his voice.

"Uhhhh.... I don't know...." he replied.

"Odile he ho!" Paul called also cupping his hands rounf his mouth

Olivia laughed slightly and grabbed Paul's hand and pulled him with her as she walked into the trees.

"I hear you weren't able to get rid of the mouth," Samuel called back, laughing.

"Hey I am teh one who makes it fun around here!" Paul called back, "so none of that!"

Olivia laughed. She saw Samuel. "ok, now that we're not last anymore, lets keep going."

"Awesome," he said, turning to check that Christine was behind him.

Christine smiled. "Liv!" She said and skipped gracefully over to her and looped her arm through Olivia's. "Sorry about that." She said smiling.

Olivia grinned, "its fine." She leaned closer to Christine, "did you enjoy getting lost in the woods with Samuel?" She whispered, teasing. She loved to tease Christine about Samuel, she knew they were just friends, but it was still fun.

Christine smiled and rolled her eyes as they walked just ahead of the boys. "Actually once we realized I had gotten us lost we didnt talk much." She didnt think Samuel enjoyed it at all now that she thought about it. "How about you and Paul." She teased back quietly.

Olivia thought about her converstion with Paul. "Um yeah." She blushed suddenly, relizing what she had just admited. "I mean no."

Samuel laughed. "Come on, let's hike."
