What is your fav breed of horse? Friesan

How long have you been riding(or have you at all?) for a few years

Whats your horse's(pretend)name? Gandalf

What is your horse's bio? He's and gelding but the son of Grand Champion Anne 340 (stallion pronounced Aahn) My wife was praying for a donkey when a woman who is ill herself like my wife heard of my wife's illness, invited us to her ranch where she raises horses and gave her Gandalf as a gift. He was worth about $10,000 at the time. He is now worth about $20-$25,000. We cannot sell him though. We signed a contract saying that we couldn't sell him and that if we were not able to care for him, we were to give him back to the ranch. Talk about God blessing. Pray for a donkey and God gives her this beautiful pure black Friesan.

Where does your horse live? In California right with us here.

A Friesian...that sounds like the horse originated in the islands off the immediate coast of the Netherlands, the Friesian islands.

Beautiful horse, Carl!

About three miles from my house I discovered this big pasture near a historical house that had about 20 horses in it...most of them dark brown. I'll have to snap a picture.

You are correct, LM. Friesan horses come originally from the Netherlands. They are most often used to draw carriages and because of their size (medium draft horse) they were used for knights throughout Europe.

There are only 2000 of them here in North America.
