Yikes. Blasphemy, eh? No imagination whatsoever? Heaven save us from stories and allegories!

Well, no, not really any imagination whatsoever. That would be idolotry. But that's where I found Narnia.. in the middle of a pretty backwoods town in a pretty backwoods state.

I got a collector's edition of "The Magician's Nephew" for my seventh birthday and really liked it and have been reading all the books since!!

hi guys! its been a long time!
sorry, because i was too preocuppied with our school play entitled the "Flower Drum Song"
anyway, i discovered Narnia simply when i saw the LWW movie in theatres last 2005. ever since, i came to love the movie, and i wished there was more. i didn't know yet that LWW was part of the Chronicles of Narnia, so i was shocked and happy to see more Narnia books such as Silver Chair and Magician's Nephew in our school library (our library has the complete set of Narnia books) and i started reading all of them until i knew the whole story and decided to join this forum!

When LWW came to theatres, my parents took me and my brother to see the movie with them, and I loved it. I bought the books and read them, and that is how I discovered Narnia :D

Welcome back, Bella! And welcome Fantasma. It's so cool to see people discovering the books because of the movies! The books have been my long-time companions through life, so it's funny to think of someone not knowing them until they saw a movie in 2005. :) It's cool though.

I read the Narnia books as an adult, and like them very much!
A friend recommended them to me, I like this fantasy world with the Christian messages. :) "Mere Christianity" is very good as well.

Imnever read them as a child. I saw the movie thought it was a Great movie so I read the books .:D now I wished i had read them as a child.:D

My experience was like yours, Inky. My 4th grade teacher read through the entire series to my class right after lunch recesses. She was an amazing reader, changing her voice for the various characters... It was a beautiful introduction to the world of Narnia. I can still remember how it felt to be peacefully sitting with my head resting on my desk, listening to this amazing world unfolding in my imagination. And I remember staying after school one day discussing Christian imagery in LWW with my teacher...

in grade three my teacher read then to us and i loved thenm ever since she started reading i was addicted and i have ever sunce then:Dmy friends call me narni hence my name:D
