How to make your banner clickable

Some people don't know how to make your banner clickable.
Suppose you want to make your banner the guide to your story, poem or rp or topic or another site? How do you do this?
1. Copy the link where your story, poem, site or topic is directed.
2. Now you write before the link url=" the link " (I left the [] out otherwise the whole text will be made like it is a link but of course you have to put this [ before the URL and the ] after the ".
3. Now you post the

4. And the final step...post the [/url] after the [/img] and click on preview.

That makes so much sense. Now I feel stupid because I didn't get itwhen some one explained it to me.
