How will they start?

I think that they will start with the pevences, as thats who the audence are familer with. Also, they need to expalin how they knew abut casptan, and to do that they need to show Trumpkin telling them the story.

not necessarily because they could start with the caspian thing and then when the pevensies come to narnia trumpkin can just tell them what happened, and they dont need to act it out again. that way theres really no weird flashback...

This is my favorite scenario so far: set Caspian up before the credits even, then go to the Pevensies.

The only problem I have with that idea is the fact that the story of Prince Caspian is almost half of the book and if they condense it into a three minute prolouge than it would lose a lot of the Telmarine feel, and the story would pretty much be what it is in LWW the kids come to Narnia, fix everything, and leave. I think starting with Caspian and acting out everything he does and more than what is in the book will go down a lot better.

You have a point there. But they could open with just his flight at the beginning, then back story it in sort of like the book does, and people will remember seeing little Caspian fleeing and go, "Oh! That's what was happening to that poor child..."

that could work, or they could tell the whole caspian story in the beginning (not like all before the credits) but tell it first and take their time (since it is like 4 chapters in the book) and then when he gets around to blowing the horn then they can show the pevensies on the train station being sucked into narnia.

If they are going to do it that way they should show the Pevensies on the train at the start, then show the credits, then go to Caspian. (Pretty much exactly the opposite of what I suggested last) I think switching back and forth at least once is the best aproach.

What about this for an idea

They start off by showing a battle from when the Talmernaes invaded Narnia. That would help set the seen and give it an exiting begining. I was also thinking that they could do it so they show Lucy waking up, and it being a dream of hers, and see feels warried. Susan can confert her and say trhat it was all a bad dream and that see needs to go back to sleep cos she is going to school tomorrow, and then show then on the train back to school duting the creidits, then afterwoeds show them at the station. And when they get to Narnia, Lucy can do a " I told you so!"
What do you think?

Sounds good.

I like the "Bad Dream" followed by the "Told you so!"
Lol.

I think they should definitely go from the outline of the book, but instead of having Trumpkin tell it, they should have the actors act it out- I don't know how, but somehow...I'm not a good film writer, LOL.

I think this was someone else's idea as well.

They should have Trumpkin narrating it, but the actors acting at the same time.
Kind of like the start of the FOTR, in LOTR, but making it longer.

I'd start with the Pevensies because as far as I'm concerned and to people who havent read the books (but have seen film 1) they are the heart of the story.

Personally I think too much time is spent on Caspian and I'd fast forward through a lot of those chapters. Caspian can have more involvement in the Dawn Treader but I still think the Prince Caspian book is much less about him and more about the Pevensies.

If they spend too much time on Caspian the film will fall flat.

I've seen so many views on various forums that its probably for the best if they stick to the book exactly. Then at least it should please most people.

i think that they will start PC with all 4 children like on the train, with the beginning credits and put The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

then show them maybe getting off the train and getting pulled into Narnia then.

i like the idea of caspian riding until he gets knocked out or a picture of him blowing the horn then cutting back to the pevensies at the railway station

Starting PC

I agree with ABright5.
They should start off where they left off, meaning with the Pevensies, not in Narnia, but in the UK, etc.

However the film begins, it needs to stand alone as a story, without blind references to the other stories. At the same time, it has to work as part of a series, and a series that is often not read/viewed in the same order. That said, i think there are a number of equally effective ways to tell the story of PC. My personal preference is for a story line that roughly follows the book.

& narborg i luv relient k and that song " may the horse b with u" and do they sing "Maybe its maybelline" and that song with the Sadie Hawkins dance or wateva it is, i changed my mind i think just one shot of caspian blowing the horn then the P family in UK then follow the book to the letta but yeh im

gosh i hav 2 stop babbling!

At the begginging of a movie, you have to have EXCITMENT, or else...you have to wait...and that's boring. (eg. The planes dropping bombs in LWW) So I think they should perhaps do something like this.
A dark room, (or something similar to this) Someone sleeping, then a man walks into the room, and kills him. Then he's cleaning his knife or something, and he says something about 'Good ridence, brother' or something, something so you realize that he was the king and his brother killed him...then they can have the title or something...
