I auditioned for PC yesterday

Hey guys! Long time no talk. Boy do I have an update to end all udpates for you...I got to audition for Prince Caspian yesterday!

I found out last Friday, and was literally shocked as I was under the assumption that the role had already been cast. Needless to say, my excitement outweighed my confusion!

I went in yesterday and auditioned for the vp of casting for Buena Vista (a very friendly, warm lady if I may say so myself), and it went really well. They gave us two scenes and that was it. I do believe they are going for someone with a darker, possibly spanish/latino/hispanic/mediterranean look as the only other two guys in the room waiting fit that bill. One, in fact, was from Argentina.

Regardless of whether or not I proceed any further in the casting process, I feel so accomplished in even procuring an audition. For almost a year now I have wanted nothing more than an audition for this role, and since September (as some of you can attest to) I have worked diligently in my attempts to procure it. Now that it has come and pass, I just feel so fulfilled by it. It would've been hard going to see the film when it eventually opens, not ever having been able to audition, but now that I know I at least got the chance, it will be a much easier pill to swallow indeed.

Actually getting a role like this is not only the chance of a lifetime, but also like winning the lottery; only fate can select the winner. I know this, so I am not sitting around with bated breath or anything, waiting for the phone to ring. I am now fully content knowing that I actually got to audition, and gave it my all at that.

What true Narnia fan could ask any more?

I hope you are all well. Thought you might enjoy my story :)

Good luck!

Congratulations!

CaspianKid~

Congratulations on achieving one of your dreams.
It's nice to see people work to attain their goals.
Some people, acually a lot of people, only wonder what it would be like if they could do such-and-such but never try to get there. You've proved to those people that if you put your mind to it, dreams can come true. (I know that sounds cheesy, but that's the truth......even more cheesy-ness. oh well):p

Best wishes,

I hope you go further!
Well break a leg!!!

I agree that it wouldn't feel right for someone indifferent to Narnia to be cast as Caspian. I recall that, although I approved of David Wenham's acting performance as Faramir in LOTR (it wasn't his fault that the writers chose to diminish Faramir's glory of being immune to the lure of the Ring), I was taken aback to hear that Mr. Wenham had known nothing about LOTR before he took the role.
