Ideas for cameos...

Well, playing out the dream sequences WOULD be corny...unless it's done very well. Honestly, as a filmmaker, I wouldn't know how to do it, but I have faith that Michael Apted and Stephen Knight will figure out something that works :)

If they just do the talking about their dreams (like in the book) it would be fine.

The challenge in that would be trying to make sure that when they "just" talk about it is not too melodramatic and over the top a la Blaire Witch Project and Cloverfield, esp. as there seems to be nothing out there.

Maybe flashes of dreams could come up, but I would want the Dark Island more as a hidden terror rather than everyone absolutely seeing everything.

Alambil and Tarvis, I would suggest saving the Killer Rabbit for TSC. I can just picture Puddleglum taking out of his pack the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch and having trouble counting to three :D

I forgot his name but that guy who plays Wormtail in HP could be the Lord they find in that worst dream place. (Haven`t read the book in a while.)

This is off-topic, but I couldn't resist!

"One...two...five!" "Three, sire!" "Uh...three!"

I think it all depends on costume and make-up, plus Wormtail wasn't such a huge character in HP anyway. If he straightens his slouch a little, cuts his nails and fixes his hair he could still be a really good creepy person, without being a really rat-like person. He is a perfect actor for the part though, because he is really creepy and sort of demented, yet you can dig up pity for him in the bottom of your heart.

ROFL, and the Lady of the Green Kirtle could order Rilian to unleash the Rabbit on them after they meet her on the way to Harfang, so they could get chased there by it. :D :D Wonderful idea.

HAHAHA

Anyhoo, I somehow can't picture Timothy Spall (Wormtail...and Mr. Poe from Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events) as Lord Rhoop. I dunno...he's just...too big. NOTHING against his size...it's just that I've always imagined Rhoop to be this incredibly emaciated guy with a shaggy beard. And I think Timothy Spall being Mr. Poe kind of ruins the image for me, too...he was too comical in that movie...LOL

Wait, I'm confused about Edmund & Lucy's nightmares: did they ACTUALLY happen in the book, or are we suggesting they add something like that for the sake of Will & Anna cameos?

Tilda Swinton had a cameo as a random centuar? I'll have to re-watch the movie on DVD with the commentary on, and see if the commentators mention it.

As for Will and Anna cameos, I've heard that they both would like to make cameo appearances, and I don't see why the directors would be adverse to the idea. The dream sequences seem like really nice cameo spots for both Will and Anna, and that would automatically give Tilda a cameo again (because her character obviously is necessary for the dreams).

I'm really looking forward to seeing these dream sequences (they better be in the movie!).

The dreams aren't actually described. But Lewis does hint at the fact that Lucy does see a flash of a dream and is afraid to go down to the deck of the ship for fear of seeing Ed, Caspian, Eustace, and company appearing as something hideous. Cinematically, though, I think it would make sense to show some dreams, but have them interwoven as if they're actually happening. It makes the psychological effect more powerful...like the dream sequence Lucy has in the PC movie.

Hmm. Good idea! That does make it more creepy. And if they really did use it as an opportunity for Will and Anna cameos it'd be one of those "What are YOU doing here?!" moments to confuse non-readers and book purists alike. :D

^Agreed. It also might be kind of neat to end the movie with Peter picking up Lucy and Edmund from the Scrubb's house and him saying something like "Have a good time?" (sarcastically), and Lu and Ed exchange a glance and one of them say "Wait till we tell you all about it." Sumthin' like that. Just an idea :p

I like that idea!!!:)

The dream sequence would be cool to have Will and Anna in it, and also the part with the magic book between Susan and Lucy. Tilda had a cameo as a cuentar? REALLY? Wow, I ought to pay closer attention. Normally I'm the one telling people something like that!!!

I saw LWW movie before reading any books, but I am not a movie perfectionist! I love both movies and books for different reasons and if a little -- notice I said LITTLE :D
is changed, I won't mind. Okay, that went a "little" off-subject.... :D

I hope they don't do anything stupid with the movie just for the sake of giving someone a cameo role. I say no cameos whatsoever!
