It's hard... if she was really and honestly good, she wouldn't show any power because she would succumb to the power of Aslan.
Unless she would use her powers for good (which... I don't know how).

Having powers doesn't make you powerful... But why WOULDN'T she be powerful if she was good?

Aslan was powerful and good, so I don't see why she wouldn't be powerful if she were good. Besides, if she were good, she wouldn't have uttered the Deplorable Word which destroyed her world, and she wouldn't have left Charn with Diggory and Polly to seek power elsewhere, and she would never have entered Narnia in the first place and eaten of the fruit of her heart's desire and lived youthfully for thousands of years, so we wouldn't have really read much, if anything, about her in the first place. This was a very long sentence--forgive me.

even if she is good she will turn to evil because she has power and power turns you evil shes like the female version of saruman he was once good but then he turned to evil because he wanted power for himself and to overthorw saruon

The book hints around at it, by the way. That she was POWERFUL because she was of ROYAL BLOOD and that ran in families.

Not from selling a soul to whatever devil, but from centuries of marrying one's second cousin. <GGG>

This is not always the case, and in fact is something rather rare. If we think in this fashion, then we must assume Gandalf also would have turned to evil, and Radagast, and the Blue Wizards, Galadriel, Elrond, Círdan, et al.

If Jadis ever were good (and had been good in the beginning), the events of Narnia would never have occurred as they did - she would never have used the Deplorable Word in Charn! Nor would she have assayed to study dark magic, thereby becoming even more corrupt.

But in Narnia, she became more powerful than before. The use of the DW may not have been something permissible in Narnia, or it may have been something "out of her reach." As Aslan told us in TMN, she would grow stronger through her study of dark magic, and she had a thousand years to practice.

Yeah but would she have as much power as Aslan or be his right hand woman or something. I think she would have power anyway because she's a powerful woman, she just succumbed to the dark side.

she gets her power from being evil...if you notice, as aslan becomes more powerful through out the movie, she gets less powerful :D , and the less powerful she gets, the smaller her crown ( the ice things on the top of her head ) gets...its cool :p

I LOVE SKANDAR
