:D We had a church-event yesterday night. All the churches in the city were open till midnight and there was prayer and music and meditation going on. We had a little concert at the cathedral with our choir and when I went back (by bike) I passed ever so many joyful irish people drinking and singing in the streets and the match is only today :D. I never knew we had so many irish pubs in this place. There was something green every second corner. I thought for a moment of going over and joining in the singing since I had just sung some beautiful Bruckner pieces.

Ireland won! 2:1.
They say there were about 4000 irish fans in the city ( and 1000 georgians) and an irish-man who works at one of the pubs told the newspaper that ALL of them rang him up to find them a place to stay for the game.

Yes, Irish won!! Haha. I just wish they won the World Cup. Actually, that church thing is a tradition in Italy. I've done it. You go around from church to church in Rome (where I was) and you say a prayer in each. It was a neat experience. I think it was around Easter.

Yes during Easter time so it was pretty crazy. St. Peters Square, there must have been at least 80,000 people. Well I guess it was one of Pope John Paul II's last appearance. so it was cool. haha.

Well then you're welcome here on the Irish thread!! :D

There's a girl in my drama class [[just started today]] and she's Irish. Born and raised in Ireland, moved to Italy, and then moved here!

That's too bad, Jessica.:(
You can pretend you're Irish, though! :p

Erm I think it's because the names originated in Ireland ...... you know, they're Gaelic.

..... Or I'm just crazy. That's quite possibility.

Can I pretend, too? O, purlease let me!:)
My middle name is of celtic origin, it's the german version of Brigid (Brigitte). And if Brigid isn't an irish name what is.;)

Heeee. Cuz we rock, that's why.

So some random guy sends me a friend request on Facebook and he's from Northern Ireland. LOL that's pretty much it ..... :p

Nope just MySpace .... I'll have to find your Facebook .....

This made me laugh:

Irish Diplomacy: The ability to tell someone to go to hell so that they will look forward to making the trip.
