My grandpa used to say, and still does, "I don't need to wear green to prove I'm Irish". Always joking, and always in an Irish accent. Haha, he's full Irish.

So I found out in my family records that I may have more full-blooded Irish in me than I thought... my ancestor on my dad's father's side that immigrated to America before the Civil War had a full-blooded Irish wife from Dublin, and on my dad's mother's side, they're mostly Welsh and Irish... so hey!

Welcome to the Irish thread! You're just in time for St. Patty's Day. :D

Who's numbah 1?
YOU, goofy. And what's with the Boston accent?? lol

Alriiiiight have some loverly Irish news for y'all. Me da is playing an Irish concert on the 14th at the local Catholic church for St. Patrick's, just him and his guitar. I'll have his set list soon, don't worry ... I keep asking him for it so I can post it here. :p
I dod know he's playing a few High Kings songs, because he asked me for a few of my Irish cd's so he could get the chords down for the songs. One he really liked [[and has been playing nonstop]] is "Will Ye Go, Lassie, Go?"

So stay tuned haha.

It doesn't matter about where your allegiance lies or who you are biased towards in these tragedies, the fact is life is being lost.

For those of you unaware, in the past couple days a series of attacks have been committed against 2 British soldiers/engineers (who are now dead) soon to deploy to Afghanistan, 2 men who were delivering pizza's to the soldiers, and then a Public Service Police Official was killed while on standby in a patrol car.

These acts have been claimed by the RIRA (Real Irish Republican Army) and CIRA (Continuity Irish Republican Army).

Keep your thoughts on those affected by these attacks, and that RIRA/CIRA and the British Government come to peace terms, and compromise.
