He laughed with her. "I don't know where we were. I think we were about to set up our wedding date... "
 
"I am sorry miss, I did not know," the guard replied, bowing. "I shall see if he is free. And who, may I ask, is calling?"

ic-"Oh!" the guard's face widened with shock. "I apologize Your Royal Highness," he said, saluting, "I did not know it was you. These are hard times we live in. One can't be too careful. I shall go inform a staff member to see if Master Mortimer is free."
 
A few minutes later, a maid knocked on the door to Nathariel's chambers. She answered it, and the maid curtsied and said, "Pardon me for interrupting Your Majesty, but there is someone to see Master Mortimer." She turned to him and curtsied. "It's Princess Aslana, sir."
