Littler Britain

Interesting accent! Sounds rather nice, though hard to understand.

I was born in Cambridge. :D

yes you're strange people... you manage to make a joke in every single sentence but nobody ever laughs... to me, that's an incredible WASTE of joke energy :p

question... do the accents get more scottish the higher you get (mh it's called north isn't it ^^) or is geordie just something completely different? still sounds fairly british to me :p

btw i have now decided to study language & communication later going to modern english linguistics (though, in germany, because of money issues... :()
is that cool or what?

That's brill!! linguistics is a great subject wherever you study it!!!

You could say they get more Scottish as you go further north, but i prefer to say the Scottish accent gets more English the further south you go. :)

Ooooo - cool, that's better than GC anyway

Yea! You started another thread for it!

...now, if the thread just came with hobnobs. *especially the milk chocolate ones*

You would have to bring them up, Jules *starts drooling over HobNobs* I liked the plain chocolate ones, though :). What is it about British chocolate just tasting better? I've never had a good explanation, but I do know I'll never eat a KitKat bar here in the US again.

Is the Geordie accent anything like the Yorkshire accent?

Nope - very little. You could never get them confused. But they are more similar than say, London and Geordie!

It does, and I will introduce to even more British biscuits too!!

I'm not sure. Cadbury's is the best make and I've never found better anywhere!! Must be some secret they don't tell!!

Now I'm curious. Why is Cambridge better than Manchester?

anywhere is better than Manchester. It is the most awful city ever to have existed. A foul desolate wasteland of a place. Now Leeds - that's a completely different story!!

I know, I know. :p But remember, I've never been to Manchester. I have no idea what's so horrible about it. So...?

I was even able to get a Cadbury Cream Egg McFlurry in London! No comparison to a proper tea, though still satisfying to someone like me with an insane sweet tooth.

Maccy D's of course!!

Manchester is bad Derny, cos it is the wrong side of the Pennines. The Dark Side. The evil one. They have Mancunian accents for goodness sake!!

i think i kind of agree. the brittish commadies that i have seen dont seem to be that funny...

It's like with the Office. A classic British comedy, taken to America, it had to be re-written cos the Americans didn't get it!! I think we have a higher level of humour :D

It's not just Brits. There are Americans who don't like slapstick. I don't care for it.
