Liv Tyler -Actress

Sir Godfrey

Pelegrin Crucis
Since LOTR I have been captivated by Liv's beauty and her eloquent yet profoundly soft tone of voice. I have since LOTR enjoyed her powerfully creative acting abilities in other films. However when ever I think of Liv, I think Arwen. This is what Hollywood calls the curse of being in major blockbusters, you will always be known for one role rather than many roles.

I recently watched Liv on Letterman, it was an old broadcast when she had been working on LOTR films. I was just blow way by how down to earth and soft spoken she was. It was like seeing Arwen get interviewed except without the elven language or ears. :D

I know quite a bit about Liv, I know that he father is Steven Tyler the leader singer of Aerosmith. I know that she actually didn't know Steven was her father until she saw him in concert, for at the time she had been told by her mother that her father was another singer.

I think the most notable films I've seen Liv in besides the LOTR Trilogy would have to be Armegeddon and Jersey Girl. She did an amazing job in both films, but in end I think I will always think of Liv as Arwen. She truly nailed the role, potraying her in my opinion to the tea.

Infact I read an articale where she was asked if she would play arwen again in the new Hobbit to LOTR Bridge film. Liv's response was she would certainly love to reprise her role as arwen, however she was uncertain how her character would be involved unless it was straight out of the Appendix. Liv also said is she was asked to reprise the role of Arwen she would immedialty buy a plane ticket and fly to the set.

Liv Tyler explains that her experiance playing arwen was "Magical, once in life time and profound". She even speaks as one who loves the books, one who is captivated. I am inclined to believe this due to her prompt response of wanting to reprise the role of Arwen.

Another notable thing about Liv, is she has an amazing singing voice. I listened to a song she sings on ROTK Complete Recordings and I was blow away! I almost thought I was listening to Enya or some Elven Musician. :D

Her other films are quite...how do I say this? Bordering on sordid. (If sordid is the right word). I watched a little of Jersey Girl and turned it off after a few minutes because I was disgusted. Armageddon too. I don't think she's that great of an actress in anything but LotR. Most of those actors I dont' think are, lol. I definitely think they picked the perfect Arwen though. :)

I've seen Liv in 'That Thing You Do' and she was pretty good in that. And obviously I've seen her in LotR. She's very pretty, imo :)

I haven't seen her play in another movie besides LOTR and Armageddon. I liked her as Arwen. She was gorgeous. What more to say about Liv? She recently divorced her husband Royston Langdon and they have a son together Milo.

Which means she back on market and anyone is free to have crush on her again. :D

Ms. Tyler is not the only LOTR cast member to have done putrid, immoral films. Viggo Mortensen was in a sordid suspense movie with Michael Douglas, about adultery and wife-murdering; also, his movie "Hidalgo," while otherwise good, went out of its way to bash America. Elijah Wood played a horrible, depraved murderer in "Sin City." Hugo Weaving starred in "V Is For Vendetta," with its slanderous false message claiming that it's Christianity which threatens human freedom in modern times. And of course, Ian McKellen misses no opportunity to attack the Christian faith.

There seems to be this perverse tendency for movie stars, when they've done something inspiring and uplifting, to feel actually _embarrassed_ for having done so, and to want to "cure" the feeling by making other films which they _should_ be embarrassed about but aren't.

Dear Copperfox,
Do youn really know these stars personally? Or are you like everyone else making judgments based on tabloids, tv shows and even thier own political ideas? I don't agree with Ian Mckellen's political nor social values, but I think he is an amazing actor. Almost every star has done a questionable film, even the greats. So I find it rather judgmental and very condenscending to say such horrible things about these actors.

Sure they arn't perfect, but who is? Espeically if they don't believe in Christ. How can you expect them to hold to the same values when they don't even have the same values. Liv and several other actors and actresses have made some questionable films, but some of their more recent works have been brillant and refuse to lute the past overshadow the future. Each and everyone of these stars deserves a chance to be treated fairly and be loved.

Does that make the questionable things they've done right? No. But I always hold to the truth "Love the sinner, hate the sin."

Also maybe the fact that these actors have done some very morale and inspiring films show they are seeking, that they are open to the Gospel. Did you ever think about that?

Amen to that Jeff! I agree. You can't always judge every actor or actress on their own views. Everybody does something questionable in Hollywood and I have seen Sin City but Elijah's part was very small.

Yeah I saw Sin City too and he was hardly in it. Plus he also did family film cameo in Spy Kids 3: Game Over. Some stars just want to expand their horizons and try new things. It's often by trying these new things that are questionable that makes them realize they don't want to do movies like that.

JEFF AND NESSA:

What part of the phrase "THERE SEEMS TO BE" did you two not understand???

It is not "judging" to state that something SEEMS a certain way; it is telling an impression. Neither is it "judging," but merely reporting indisputable fact, NOT from tabloids but from his own mouth, to say that Ian McKellen viciously attacks Christianity.
