lol testing guns on twilight books.

I prefer the nuclear option myself. Someone might read around the bullet holes and still contaminate themselves badly enough to need professional help.

The superhero Grey Eagle needs no guns. If he encounters evil vampires, he simply sets them on fire with his heat-control power and consumes them to ash.

Am I the only one who takes slight offense to this? I'm not nearly as much of a Twilight fan as I once was, but I still see this as disrespectful and immature. I'm sure most of us on TDL would be pretty upset if someone did that to the Narnia books (or even LOtR, considering how many Tolkien fans are on this site). I don't know, maybe I'm overreacting, but when I saw this posted here I was pretty appalled.

Yes, where's your sense of decorum and tradition? You should drive a stake through them, my dearies! :D

Where's the "like" button? Oh, wait...This isn't Facebook. :p

I'm not a fan of Twilight, but I do recognize this as being a bit disrespectful/rude. Just because some of the fans are annoying doesn't mean that the books are all that bad (I don't particularly like them, but I don't hate them either.)

My only worry is that they didn't use silver bullets, so the werewolves practically are unharmed. They may come back for revenge. :D

Haha, I always have the urge to "like" things too - I spend way too much time on FB. :p

How is it any more disrespectful or wrong than the country fans who burned and smashed the albums of the Dixie Chicks back in 2003? IMO, and this is not to offend anybody, Twilight deserved to be shot.

We'd all be a lot better off without it.

There was actually a book accused by the King of England of treason and the book itself was condemned to be hung at the gallows. AND IT WAS.

Why just stop at testing guns on the Twilight series? I would love to wield my sword and hack away at the abominable book series. :D

I agree! It would be so fun!!!!! I'd be doing my civic duty to chop the books into pieces; the world is better off without that junk.

My secret wish is to use a Twilight poster for archery practice.

YES! YES YES YES! Brilliant! Postively brilliant I say! Ha! Now mom just buy me a Twilight poster- no I'm not going crazy.... I'M GONNA SHOOT IT FOR ARCHERY! MWHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!:D

Oooh and mom BUY the books so I can....destory them with my sword when you're not around and then you'll come home and be like, "O.O what are all these dents in these books? WHOLY COW! THEY'VE BEEN STABBED! ...... WITH A WOODEN STAKE!":p

Then I'll burn the Twilight books after they have been throroughly, ah, beaten.:p

(I personally would like to see Edward, Bella and Jacob sent unknowingly up to Shelob's lair XD)

For the record, the Dixie Chicks are known for having disrespected our nations former president, George W. Bush.

I don't think it's wrong to hate anything related to pop culture. What disturbs me is when people publicly destroy, vandalize, humiliate, and bash books/CDs/etc. in a way that could be offensive/aggressive toward its fans. I would not be offended by a video in which someone is politely expressing their negative views about something such as Twilight. But testing guns on books? That's a bit over the top.

Also, I think it's worth mentioning that they're coming out with a movie that is a complete spoof of Twilight. Something tells me that a lot of TDLers would be excited about this, as they are about anything that is remotely against the concept of vampires. Yet when "Epic Movie" hit the big screen, Narnia fans were appalled, offended, maddened, and disgusted by its attack on the Chronicles.

That is funny. I did read the series and it's not really that good. I mean a lot of the writing seems too dull and flat. It also seems like sometimes the story isn't going anywhere. Also the ending of the last book was the worst ending ever written.

I don't think books should be destroyed, because too books are very valueable and in my opinion are the best form of entertainment.

I am sorry, but this thread is horrible!
Even for a series as bad as Twilight, think about the people your hurting!I'm not a Twilight fan at all,but that video was mean.
Hundreds of trees get cut down every day to print books and the only thing some people on YouTube can think of doing is shooting them for amusement.
I lament every time I see any book (even ones I don't like) destroyed, for it means loss of human thought, emotion or knowledge.
In the old days people burned books because they were "pagan" or "evil" etc.I'd thought that most of those stupid destroying practices had died out.I was wrong.Book-destroying idiot illiterates are still around.
Have you guys ever actually seen a bunch of books being obliterated by a group of no-brains?I have, and believe me,it's not a pretty sight.
Even for a series as bad as Twilight Saga,I wouldn't thoughtlessly destroy BOOKS.You can destroy any other crap related to this series, but not BOOKS.

Why are all you Twilight-haters talking about it so much anyway? It's sort of illogical, that's all I'll say.

Gotta agree with Lila here.

Love to make fun of Twilight, really I do. I read all four books and thought they were decent at very best. I hate the pop culture and obsession around them - but I don't hate the books. And I don't mind if you do.
Don't buy them then. But don't destroy them.
