A Fan Fic on the book Angels In Pink by Lurlene McDaniel-3 bestfriends Holly,Raina,and Kathleen. I'll be more focused on Kathleen then the others....


Chapter 1:
Kathleen McKenzie stood infront of her bestfriends Holly Harrison and Raina St.James infront of Hunter Harrison's (Holly's brother and Raina's boyfriends or had been) grave. Hunter had been shot a year ago, infront of the restaurant he worked at. Raina would never love anyone else like she did Hunter, Holly doubted if she would ever get married. Kathleen closed her eyes as tears blurred her vision.
"Hey, Big Brother," she heard Holly say,"I've kept a boyfriend, Chad is so wonderful, I-"her voice cracked,"I wish you could meet him."
Raina didn't say anything-she couldn't.
Kathleen smiled," Hey,Hunter, I got engaged yesterday. To Carson, he's working on becomeing a EMT." she said," he try's to stay out of trouble. Like you."

They stayed ten more minutes before turning and walking to Raina's car. They climbed in and headed towards Carson's house.
Carson Keifer was standing on the diving board, as they entered the pool area. He took a running start and jumped into the water cutting through the water he came up near the shallow end,"Hey girls," he said.
"Hey Carson," the three said, he lifted himself up out of the pool he shook his hair out water droplets flew on them they squiled,"don't get us wet yet,Carson,"Kathleen said,"we're going to change."
Carson laughed. The girls went inside the Keifer Mansion, to change into their bathing suits.

Chapter 2

Kathleen walked out into the pool area, Carson jumped off the diving bored again, Raina, and Holly sat beside the pool puttin sun tan lotion on, and she went to join them.
"Hey,"Holly said, as Kathleen sat down beside her, she smoothed the sun tan lotion into her arm.
"Hey," Kathleen said,she started putting sun tan lotion on, for as a red head she burned. Mr. and Mrs. Harrison sat in deck chairs a few feet away...


I'm sorry I'll post the rest later I've got to go to church.

A different generation speaks

The opening reminds me of my own visits to my first wife Mary's grave. I know she is not really _inside_ that grave, since she is in Heaven with the Lord Jesus; but I think of the gravesite as a "ground transmitting station"--a place from which it is symbolically appropriate to speak to Mary from time to time. Not so frequently since I got married again; but I know Mary can see me wherever I am, and I believe she prays for me AND Janalee.

Oh I'm gonna try to post the second chapter as well asap

Its good so far...but just a tip...I was getting a little confused with the character..try give them more detail...like who they are or differant things about them...do you know what Im talking about?Try to bring them out more if they are going to be main characters.

Carson swam over to her he rested his forearms on the side of the pool beside her,"Hey,"he said his sexy brown eyes sparkling at her.
"Hi," Kathleen said.
"You ok?"Carson asked he pushed her red hair out of her face.
"Yeah,I'm fine,"Kathleen said, she touched his wet tan shoulder,"why?"
"you look sad,"Carson said.

"Really I'm fine,Carson," Kathleen said.
"All right, if you say so,Kathleen," Carson looked down at her freckled face,"Are you going to get in?" Carson asked.
"Maybe,"Kathleen asked,"if you want me to." she smiled.
"I want you to," Carson said he smiled at her melting her heart.
"Ok," Kathleen stood up and walked to the diving board she jumped off and came up near the shallow end.
Carson swam over to her,"Thankyou," he said.
"You're welcome," Kathleen grabbed a float and lay on it. Carson treaded water beside her.
"Carson."

Carson turned around, Kathleen's heart sunk at what she saw over Carson's shoulder...Stephanie Marlow [her competition] stood there in a pair of short shorts and a spaghetti-strap shirt.

Chapter 3

Carson looked at Steffie,"What?" he asked.
"Why are they here," She asked, motioning to Holly,Raina,Kathleen and her mom.
"They can come here whenever they want Steffie just like you can," Carson said.
Stephanie turned adn walked out.
"Go," Kathleen said.
"Are you sure it's ok,?' Carson asked.
"Yes,you two have been friends your whole lives, I'll follow you in a minute,"she said,
"Please,'carson said, he lifted himself out of the pool, and followed Steffie out,"Steffie!!!" He called"Steffie wait,"
"What!?"Stephanie said, turning around.
"What's wrong if they're here?" Carson asked.
"They take a way from my time with you especially Kathleen" Stephanie said.
"No they don't. For your information I asked Kathleen to marry me last night and she said yes,"Carson said.
Kathleen stepped back and raised her hand to her chest as if she had just been hurt, she screamed and stormed to her car.

Kathleen stepped out and walked over to Carson she touched his arm,"How'd it go?" she asked.
"She's mad. And thinks you take a way from my time with her," Carson said,"Don't worry, she'll get over it she just needs to cool off."

He slipped his arm around her waist and turned back towards the pool area...

That's so sweet, Copperfox (can I call you Joseph?). I'm sure she's thinking of you from Heaven, and praying. I hope you lead a good life with Janalee too :)
