Lovers Of Narnia Music Unite!

the Narnia music is so amazing....that they are even playing one of the songs during the NBA finals. lol. im watching the pre-game and all of a sudden i heard the Narnia theme...and i thought at first that it was my imagination..but i listened closely and it was one of the songs. don't know the name of the song, but i do know its the same song they played in LWW during the epic battle scene lol.

What about the complete recording sessions that were brought out for the Lord of the Rings trilogy? All of those sessions were brought out after the release of those movies (the first was released in December of 2005, as I'm sure you know the first lord of the rings film came out in 2001). If it was done for them, why can it not at least be attempted for Narnia.

Never heard of that. But as I understand it the complete recording session for Return of the King was 3+ hours long so I'm assuming that's about three or four cd's worth of music just for one movie.

If you go on amazon.com and look the sets up you should find them. The first two sets are four disks as I recall, and the last (for rotk) is 5; but all three of those movies are at least 3 hours long, longer in the extended versions, which calls for a lot of music.

Let me insert a recommendation for something done in the 1970's, almost forgotten by now. A Christian family singing group called The Second Chapter Of Acts recorded an LP album titled "The Roar Of Love," which was a musical telling of LWW. Annie Herring, the family member who wrote this work, had no interest in depicting any of the action/combat stuff; but her songs were moving as they introduced the Narnian setting, introduced Aslan, showed His victory over death, and celebrated Edmund's salvation.

Almost forgotten is right you're one of a handful of people I know who's even aware of this recording.

I was amazed to find this on napster's free listening site. I listened to it the other day at work and was really moved by the music.

Here is a link if anyone else wants to listen: http://free.napster.com/view/album/index.html?id=10937565

both the film and the BBC have beautiful scores :)

I also love the last few songs from the contemporary artists on the LWW and Prince Caspian soundtracks.

omg I've just heard Hanne Hukkelberg's Lucy...which is the last song during the Prince Caspian credits...absolutely beautiful

So Caspian music fans.

Go listen to this track in LWW. It's right when the Narnians are retreating and Peter gets knocked off the Unicorn, and lasts to Orin being frozen by the witch. Come back and tell me where you've heard that track before ;)
