Red Lion was escorted to the gallows. "I am innocent!" he cried. "Innocent, I tell you!" The townspeople, however, paid no heed, and the noose was put around his neck. Then, suddenly, from the crowd a girl's voice cried, "No! I won't let you do this!" She tried to rescue Red Lion, but was overpowered and hung next to him. The lever was pulled, and Red Lion and Isabell were dead.

Red Lion and Isabell were both Civilians!!
