Music form Lord of the Rings

That would have been an awesome experience...too bad I don't have the money or live near any place that has good symphonies and stuff like that. Oh well, maybe one day...but one can only dream right? For now I have the soundtracks to keep me happy...

I saw and heard the Lord of the Rings music played in concert, but unfortunately Howard Shore wasn't directing, but Billy Boyd (Pippin) WAS there, and HE SANG THE SONG OFF RETURN OF THE KING! .
.

Oh god! You are lucky!! o.o

I love into the West as well. I'm not too fond of the person who sings it in the movie though. I wish they had Enya sing it, she sounded so right in the Fellowship of the Ring. But actually the person who sang it in the symphony, her name was Kaitlyn Lusk, would have been good too. She just sounded nicer, more elvish, like she belonged in Lord of the Rings.
Actually, my trip to the symphony was only about $30, because we were in the "nosebleed seats", but I didn't really care about that because... WE DID get to see Billy Boyd up close beforehand!!! :):):)

i love "may it be". one good version was from enya another from hayley westenra. it's so peaceful and relaxing! :)

i was watching the special features on the SEE DVD of the Return of the King and apparently Howard Shore took his orchestra and toured the world playing selected songs from the movies and i was so beat up that i didnt hear about this earlier, so i was wondering if any of you saw the show :)

also wondering what eveyones favourite peice of music from the movies is?

Thats soooo cool! I Love the Soundtracks! my favorite is prolly: "Concerning Hobbits"

My mum and I actually saw the Lord of the Rings Orchestra perform last summer here in Toronto. It was spectacular and definitely emotional. Just seeing and hearing the children sing in unison and some hitting the highest notes sent chills down my spine..

Otherwise, I own all the soundtracks and listen to them during stressful times. Howard Shore is definitely a mastermind.

He was in Antwerpen two years ago, but I couldn't go because I was having Appendicitis. It must be wonderful to hear Howard Shore and his orchestra in reality.
I love the Prophecy, many meetings, The breaking of the fellowship, Khazad dûm, The grey havens, Steward of Gondor, and May it be.
But Concerning Hobbits is one of my biggest favorites

Thats cool, I had tickets to go see them when they came to seattle with my mom, she got them for a birthday present, but my dad died and the concert was the day of his funeral. Gotta say, that wasn't one of my best birthdays lol. The soundtracks are absolutely wonderfull, and the movie is just ten times better because of the music. I love it.
