No. You only have to upload a file and resize it if you like and then save it on your hard drive. You can do whatever you want with your uploaded file.

Yes, there is a text tool. You can add text in your files. Just check it out! You don't have to install it. You can start right away. I am curious at your first results!

I will have to mess with it a while to see what it does; I am wanting to put text on a pic of Obi-Wan (surprise surprise) but I'm not sure how to do it. If I get it to work, I'll post it.

You are right! It is already expensive to buy photoshop which is ridiculous! I am not laughing at you. There are more free programs, but you better check this out first to learn all basic things. It ain't difficult
