Okay, this is kind of random:rolleyes::

Anyway, a while ago my dad was digging up old boards behind the barn and he found this. I don't know much about animal skulls, so any idea what it could be?

True about the teeth. But how would a dead goat get behind our barn? Nobody in the area has goats, as far as I know...

Maybe a baby deer?

It's not a goat...no diastema. The config is rather clear to me, a medium-faced dog...not one of those breeds with the pushed in snout. Just look at the dental formula, the I/C/P/M ratio. Dog, yes.

Definitely not a baby deer, it has too many teeth. That would have to be a 3-year old to have that many teeth. Goat might be right.

It seems to be missing a couple of bottom teeth if it were a dog.

It's kind of small for a goat. The picture actually makes it look bigger than it is.

Does it resemble any of these? (The teeth don't match, though it is missing the front teeth.) Maybe it's a raccoon???

Somewhat on topic, my brothers and their friends found part of a deer skeleton in our yard yesterday. It's kind of interesting, actually.:p
