Alright,you give three clues about your book,if no one can guess it give one more,and if they don't guess the book then,just tell them. Simple game.....
OK,I'll start:

This book was written in 1960,and soon after in 1962 along came the movie.

The author was from Alabama,US and so was the setting.

"Son,you can shoot all the blue jays you want,but never kill a ___"
 
Alright...(everbody knows I'm obsessed with that book)

Anyway,the clues:
Takes place during the Great Depression
Now being called a "Classic"
Title has a fruit in it
 
This one should be totally easy...

1.it's a fairy tale
2. they made a horrible movie about it (eww eww yuck yuck)
3. it involves giants

Austalia gets invaded

2.Instead of traveling on a ship and helping the crew he travels to diffrent worlds.
3.He is, upon his return, considered insane.

This book is considered a classic. It was made into a musical and performed for years and then it was made into a horrible, horrible, horrible movie a few years back.
