Narnia Four Disc EE Discussion Thread

Do you guys think they will release the Special Edition 1 Disc Movie, because i really dont have the Money to get a 4 Disc DVD Set just for the Movie and i dont even care about the rest.

I don't know. I kind of doubt it. The rest is the best part to me though. I loved the 3rd disc "CS Lewis Dreamer of Narnia" the most. I know it is expensive and it's in the Disney vault for awhile. They may break it out again when PC comes out but I don't know that for sure.

Much of the other discs are really good especially the film "C.S. Lewis, Dreamer of Narnia" which is worth the whole thing. Amazon.com has the 4 disc set available in its Used or New section for as low as $17.74. which is nearly the price of a one disc DVD.

Whoa, that is a good deal!
I agree, the supplementary stuff is very cool. The CSL biography disc is quite interesting. I loved that he and Warnie were making these imaginary kingdoms with campaigns and wars when they were little boys. Most kids pretend, but don't have involved and elaborate plots and characters like that.

The CS Lewis CD is my favorite of the four. Really worth it.

I really liked the extended parts, just disappointed they still left out the cairparaval dance parts, oh well :( . The c.s.lewis disc was interesting for sure!! Lots of neat tidbits of information that i didnt know before.

Although most of the additional scenes were minor ones and they left out the coronation dance sequence, to me the battle scene extras made it quite worth it overall. Really cool!!!

It would have looked cool...the outtakes of it looked awesome...but the scene was never finished. Since some outtakes were on the blooper real, it was a scene people expected in the final EE cut...but then it wasn't there...thus most were disappointed. It was the coronation reception scene where there was dancing and it just looked like an awesome scene.

i have a question: i got the 4-disc EE a while ago, like over a year maybe and i realized it was supposed to come with a booklet or something in the inside pocket...can anyone tell me what was inside it? like am i missing anything major?

It's not anything major. Many of the EE's were missing that. There's a thread on it somewhere in this section. In it there's an address where you can request the booklet from Disney. Or there's a phone number you can use.

Ahhh....but I thought Disc 3 with the full-length feature feature about C.S. Lewis was just masterfully well done and extremely moving. It not only gives an insight as to the man behind Narnia, but an understanding as to why the Chronicles and Mr. Lewis himself have such a place in literary history.

I agree that the Lewis doc was the best thing about the EE set!

It was so weird conceptualizing that there is actually 10 extra min. in the film, because it doesn't feel like it. Other than the few extra battle shots not much of the new stuff really stood out. But it's definitely the version I will always watch from now on!

I got the EE as a Christmas present for my little brother and sister last Christmas. (And me, too...) I haven't watched all the stuff on the discs yet (that would take a lifetime) but I have watched that 3rd disc that you are talking about, I believe. I don't remember it that clearly, but as I remember, it was very well done.
