Narnia Four Disc EE Discussion Thread

...Just weeks ago, it would never have even occured to me to post that question in a Narnia forum. "Of course the big fans are gonna get the 4-disc Extended Edition!" It seemd like a no-brailer.

But I have been really surprised at the number of fans who say they aren't getting the EE, usually because of the money.

It's really bizarre to see that happening. It's like if people suddenly start posting that they dont want to see PC anymore. I'm reading this thinking "are these the same people that were going nuts last December??"

On December 12, first thing in the morning, I'm driving to my local Christian bookstore and getting the Gift Set (if they have it). I can't imagine living without it, to be honest, haha.

So, I can't believe I'm asking this but, are you getting the EE?
 
I have not decided yet. I really can't see much point in buying the EE when I already have the 2 disc set. I'm not going to decide until I am in the store on release day. To be honest I'm not all that excited about the EE.
 
My oldest daughter, Becky, 32, is getting it for me for Christmas. I can't wait. Hey!!! 10 minutes extra isn't bad. I realize it isn't the 40 minutes extra like the LOTR movies, but I'll take whatever I can get. lol

I already preordered it although I am sure the Christian bookstore where I live will have it too.


So the answer, am I getting this version?

Is the sky blue? Of course I am getting it! I would feel like a terrible fan if I didn't have it... And besides, the regular Narnia DVD would look inferior next to my extended LotR... :D
 
My big hope is for deleted scenes, although I'm not sure how long that will add to the movie. I like the extras, like interviews and art and all that, but I am hoping for lots of deleted scenes to add time to the movie :D
 
I'm really looking forward to see the deleted scenes...I just found an extended edition of the scene where Mr.Tumnus is brought back to life by Aslan's breath (on SpareOom.net)...I wonder if they're gonna put that into the Extended Dvd..? Oh,and the Extras..Behind the battle sounds very interesting to me..

I wonder what more they could add to Mr Tumnus coming back to life under Aslan's breath though!
 
Extended edition

The question won't be if I am getting the extended edition, but how. I have a little extra cash at the moment, but need to 'waste' it on things like new shoes, and a new front door :-(
 
I am indeed going to get the 4 disc Xtended edition! The only thing I wonder about though, is are they going to make even MORE sets of the LWW? I recently saw in Wally-world a new LOTR DVD SET!! :eek: It had both the theatrical AND Xtended edition-cuts of each movie, for 20 bucks each. Not bad at all, even had a lil bonus stuffs to it and the packaging was lovely! I don't believe they come w/ all the bonus stuffs the Xtended edition Trilogy does though...and the boxes on the above are pertier :D
