Just a note to remind us all why we are here ...

This is the Narnia Fans Forum, designed by and paid for by our beloved Admin Specter, so fans of Narnia and CS Lewis can get together, discuss the work and related fantasy works,and play.

It is a CON forum first, a related-fantasy forum next, and a family-friendly forum always.

Please don't assume because you got a free membership and your posts immediately appear without having to be approved by a mod that you have a right to post things which are not appropriate for this forum.

Anyone who does so -- particularly in crossing the family-friendly line -- will be banned.

I'm sorry to have to say it, but that's why I'm here. :(

And why are you here? To have fun! So, go have fun, and be safe. :D
 
It is sad people forget to think twice when they post but hopefully this post will help remind them and us all what the purpose of this site is.


What should we do without our mods? :p
 
LOL -- I think for the most part everyone would play nicely together, even if the mods weren't looking over your shoulder!

Too true inkspot, there's a great group of people on here. It is good to have the reminder that it's not a right to be here, even for the mods. It costs Specter a decent amount of cash each month to keep the forum up and running. I'm thankful that he chooses to have us all here. He gets to decide what the forum rules are, what the purpose is, and how things will run. He loves the Lord and has chosen to have a forum that would be as pleasing to Him as possible. People who choose to be members choose to follow the rules when they sign up. It's that way with every forum. If the forum purpose is undesirable to some, I never understand why they sign up. Don't forget the forum is for fans of CS Lewis as well.

Ah well, in the meantime, I'll have some fun and throw a cream pie inkspots way...hmmm, I'm getting hungry for some Narnian food...by the way ink, Biola doesn't have a pool...but they do have a fountain...LOL. Nessa can help me string up the balloons around here for POTW's 50th birthday! He's a pretty neat forum dad, royal guard member, and friend! He's good with the ban button when necessary too...but I think HB hid it from him and wouldn't let him play with it this week. It may be behind the soda machine in the mod area. Either that or it's hidden amongst Dernhelm's last batch of cookies on the table.

Anyway, thanks for the reminder inkspot. BTW: Nessa you're a sweet heart!
 
OK, Biola may have no pool, but we'll have to stay somewhere, and every hotel has a pool ...

The board is in the dorms on campus...but do me a favor and get HB good...LOL! Alex too. I don't know about the badger...wet badger might not be a good thing around the hotel. Now, tgraveline...he'd be fun to toss in...I'm a bit too small to do that I think though.

Specter is on the board and thus would be on campus...guess sparing him is a good way to thank him for letting us hang out on TDL huh.

you have brought up a very relevent point, Inkspot. And i am so thankful that Paul has invested so much in this forum. i think alot of people fail to realize or remember that he is paying for it.
 
This forum ios one of the greatst ever! It is the only place on the internet I check everyday and am active at everyday.
Paul has created a wonderful place and the mods are helping us to keep it clean.

Yah, the thing is, some folks lately have been thinking the forum rules should not apply to them, and they could discuss stuff that was too adult or too grim to qualify as family friendly. And I just wanted to remind us all: the reason we like it here is that it is a positive and family-friendly environment, so we should keep it that way. If folks want to discuss stuff that doesn't qualify, then they can find a forum where their topics aren't against the rules ...

And the rest of us can have pie. Or cheesecake.

and I agree that this place is awesome, and that because of that some people do get out of hand. That's why I'm so grateful for our awesome mods that have been hand picked to serve our dear forum. *salutes mods* ya'll rock. *hugs*
