And PotW, it was Asterix in Leodis (Roman name for Leeds dontcha know!!)
Oh. Well, I guess whoever does the translating doesn't think much of our intellects over here on this side of the pond, because all I can find is "Asterix in Britan". Perhaps they generalized it, thinking we'd be confused if they named an actual city as opposed to the whole country.

Speaking of confused, I'm clearly out of my reckoning and need to reevaluate all I thought I knew about that country south of Scotland and east of Wales. Based on my reading and research, I thought I knew a little about it, and that important places within it were places like London, Oxford, and Blandings Castle. Clearly I shall have to rearrange my list, moving Leeds to the top of it.

:D

Here you are, Soli, a nice cup of piping hot darjeeling, how's that? I think it's just right with these turnip crumpets ... :p

I'd say something about Bradford being the best at this point, but I'm worried that I might choke on my own sarcasm if I do... :(
LOL, see that would be an interesting obituary: choked to death on his own sarcasm... :p

Hahaha!

I almost choked today...acutally I did choke for a few seconds until gravity recued me and the thing fell out. Quite a scare and no one noticed.

I'm sure you're all enthralled by my story, no? :D

Anyway, please send some turnip soup this way. You can't choke on soup. Quick while I've got a break form the kitchens!

We cooked an entire turnip last night...microwaved for ages..still not cooked. Hot dang those things are indestructible!

Oh??? My sister can choke on water. ! (the docter said she had the strongest gag reflex he'd ever seen. :p)

Actually...so can I. I choked on it before and it made me regurgetate. I won't go into details. We don't need to start in on that.

Hey I'm up for some nice hot bread! Anyone interested?

Let me see... Earl Gray, Apricot, Rasberry, Mint, English Breakfast, and of coarse, regular black tea. Oh, and green tea, if you prefer it. Which will you have?

So....um...why hasn't this been moved to Duffers? I mean, this would be a great way to get the old timers into Duffers again

um....hm....well.....I...I guess...I guess that's it...well...isn't this awkward?...um....ya....um....i better go now....so, um....huh.....bye!
