Phantom of the opera

K, so who has seen the most recent movie of the phantom of the opera?
I loved it, it was great..wait it is great!I love the cast for the movie, Gerard Butler did great as the Phantok, Emmy Rossum did superb for christine, and Patrick Wilson did good for Raoul.
 
Yeah, alot of people said things like that and people said its not anywhere near the book and im like well duh the book is by Gaston Leroux and the play is by Andrew whats his face so dont blame the movie, id say sometimes lol

whats really cool is they made a remix for dance dance revolution called phantom of the opera and it sounds prettay awsome :cool:
 
AHHH i saw this and i was like Phantom Of The Opera? omg i love that movie. it's my second favorite movie! well you know my first of course..but yes i LOVVVVVE that movie.
 
I like the movie pretty well, besides the fact that I've deemed it the plotless wonder. Hey, who needs a plot when there's tons of sining?!
 
i LOVE phantom of the oprea!!!!

i sing it ALL THE TIME!!!! and i hit the notes, may i add.

i love Gerard Butlers voice, but as a choir member, DETEST Emmy Rossum's singing technique. she doesnt drop her jaw enough, affecting sound, and her vowels HURT me. if she sings opera , then she should open her mouth!!!!!!!

She probably did drop her jaw more in the recording. I'm pretty sure she wasn't doing the actual singing and acting at the same time. They hardly ever do. Thus the reason Raul could sing while he was being choked to death by the Phantom.
 
interestingly enough, raoul was one of the few who did sing during a lot of the filming. He had more broadway experience than the others so it came more naturally to him. He also said it just fit to him to sing during filming. Although naturally not during his choking to death. I like Emmy actually as a singer, but I can say I'm not a singer so I can't detect the flaws as easily.
 
I love PotO! it's really great, plus phantom and raoul are hot! :). but i grew up listeni ng to the cassette of the canadian cast, so it was good to see pretty fair representation of it... has anyone ever seen it on broadway or whenever they had it in toronto (which was in, like, the early 90's)?
 
:p I am like in love with the movie the phantom of the opera!!!! I can not believe that you guys have a thread about it i like have the cd and the dvd and i loved it its like the music is great yeaaaahh!!!! ;)
 
Okay you picked the wrong topic to put out!!!! That is like my favorite movie in the world. Except for CoN!! (DUH!!) Now, I totally love every person that they casted in that movie!!!! I know every line!!! OMG!!!
