I know VDT is in pre-production, but this is WAAAYYYY too early for a first draft to be done and LEAKED. It's a fake.
And one more nuance. The word "impossible". Somebody "bad" (Gumpas, maybe? Pug?) needs to say it in response to something that is being represented as the "truth". I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but that one word, too, has been a running motif in the last 2 movies. The first time it's said is in Susan's response to walking through the wardrobe the first time (they were already foreshadowing her fall then), and the second time was by the White Witch when the resurrected Aslan comes to the battle (thus linking Susan to the source of evil? more foreshadowing?). The third time is when Miraz sees Trumpkin for the first time (linking him to doubt? which CAN be a source of evil? too). See the theme? It's only said by the people who think (or eventually will think--ie Susan) that they have no reason to believe in the true Aslan, the true Narnia, etc. I've enjoyed seeing that one tiny bit in the films so far; I hope it's continued, or I will be quite sad.
I don't think we have much to worry about at this point
Or we could worry about preventing and ending world hunger. I really never thought that this script was plausible as THE SCRIPT for the movie. Every scriptwriter has early versions that are thrown out. We need to remember that Douglas Gresham is a co-producer, so he's probably got a say over approving the script. I remember reading somewhere (maybe here on Narniafans) that in the beginning (LWW) he had to decline several scripts that did not fit Narnia at all (a.k.a., cheeseburger & milkshake for Edmund instead of Turkish Delight and the warm drink).
Is that a joke, or did they really put in the cheeseburger?? AAAHH!
But I agree. It's not THE SCRIPT.
What they were planning wouldn't have been much better from what I could tell. Yes, we know, it's a draft...but a freaky one at that. The mere thought that they'd consider anything of the kind and waste anyones time and effort on such dribble doesn't help anyone's confidence in the writers.
