Prince Caspian soundtrack

EPIC MUSIC FOR AN EPIC FILM LIKE Narnia.

I know. I listen to my Narnia soundtracks more times than any other music on my iPod!!

This is kind of off topic, but today was music share day in choir, and I chose to do The Call, and it was very weird bringing in my PC CD into school today. :p

The music is great, but I wish they would've done what they did with the first one when popular christian artists made songs based on Narnia.

I'd have loved to have seen another Inspired By soundtrack as well. But, if you noticed, even though they had the Christian artists singing, they did not allow Jesus' Name or God to really be mentioned on it. It was pretty well censored that way. They were able to imply a lot, but that was it. Still, it would have been good to have another one for Caspian.

I liked "This is Home" the best at the end for the PC soundtrack. "The Call" is singable, but I liked the other one better.

I loved the soundtrack. I very much enjoy Harry Gregson-Williams' work for the movies, particularly the track Raid on the Castle. For the lyrical songs, I liked This is Home better than The Call, but they are both great songs. :)

Personally, This is Home sounded more like a song for The Last Battle than PC. I was reading TLB last night and as I was finishing up, This is Home started playing in my head. It just "worked" more.

I have yet to get the PC soundtrack. Based on reading the previous posts, I know it's worth getting, but in everyone's opinion, which is the better soundtrack- LWW or PC?

Umm...Hard to say. For the first five months(maybe three, but still) of my receiving the PC soundtrack I was estatic and listened to it nearly non-stop... With LWW, I listened to it for about a week and then put it down. But I love both of them, and it could be that I like PC's soundtrack better because I bought it first... But I dunno. Honest I do think PC's soundtrack is much much better though.

Oh, and if your talking about the 'inspired by' cd...Ya, it's better than both of the soundtracks LOL!

I wouldn't say PC's score is better as much as imrpoved. With the first film we were introduced to the leitmotifs for the Pevensies, Aslan, and Narnia so now those can be built up and new music can be added. It's like asking if the score for Empire Strikes back is better then the score for the original Star Wars film. They are both good, but one simply introduces you to the world, the other takes you further.

My only gripe was that the soundtrack for Prince Caspian didn't have Reepicheep's theme.

The one thing that makes PC better is "The Call" and "This Is Home" as they
actually feel like they are about Narnia. I can't even read the books without thinking of either of those two songs.

Oh yeah, I never realized that!! That mouse ROCKS!!! That was my nickname for about a week at Theatre camp! xD

and I agree with what ndfan1993 said, I think the second one is better, but it's probably only because I've had that one a little longer. Though, like what Sven-El said, the first one introduces you to the music, then the second one improves it.

Hopefully Arnold will add more themes than Gregson-Williams did to PC. There were only 3 new themes introduced into the second movie, with only 2 of them actually included in the soundtrack. Everything else was just a remix of the first. Not that I don't like the soundtrack (I do, very much), but Gregson-Williams... eh. David Arnold is a bit better at adapting to musical numbers of previous composers. Just look at his work for all the James Bond films he's done! Same with the "Fast & Furious" sequel. I'm sure we won't be disappointed with his work for VDT. Besides, I think we could all use a Narnia music makeover. ;)

I really like the Prince Caspian soundtrack, too. My favorites are the Door in the Air, This is Home, the Call, and the Memory Tree (is that what it's called? I forgot.). I listen to them sometimes while working out. ;)

I wish I could help. :( I'm good at picking points of dvds to get music tracks, but the only thing you'd get if I just took the audio would be the song, along with the voices and sound effects in the back. Rarely, there are some dvds that have separate audio tracks embedded into the disk (sound effects, dialogue, music, etc.), but I don't think the PC dvd has that capability. There are leaked bootlegs of tracks never incorporated into the soundtracks that came directly from the studio (the Indiana Jones soundtracks are great examples, which were actually re-released with the bootlegged material on the new albums).

But with PC, I don't really know where to find any bootlegs for the score, much less try and isolate the music track on the dvd (if it has one, it'd be encrypted). So... do you want me to just send you the movie version with the other audio in the background?
Nevermind what I said a month ago. I just rewatched the movie again and I realized that I really need to have it. I can probably figure out how to add the lyrics to it without the dialogue using Audacity, a program that I have on my computer. It sucks, but it's all that I have. :p

I'm looking for a soundtrack song and I can2t find it..

The song is Prince Caspian Bloopers song on DVD.
Does anyone knows what the name of that song?
Or how I can I find it?
